  • Check out my Weekly Top Twelve with The Police this week!

  • i agree with freudianslip000

  • petemacarthur: best comment ever.

  • I fuckin HATE losing.......

    Grrrrr.

  • Sting and Elvis Costello traded barbs in the press back then. Sting might be poking fun at Elvis' look in the video. Obviously they made up, becuz Elvis opened for the Police in 2008, had the privilege of seeing them 3 times on the reunion tour.

  • and all three of the Police were on Elvis' new show

  • That had to be a great show.

  • day always rock!!

  • that glasses 0-0

  • Hahaha I lol'd!xD

    Made of Wholegrain Win!:D

  • u no sting looks pretty still.

  • Comment removed

  • Is Sting trying the "Elvis Costello" look?

  • Great song, from a great album.

  • this is what deeks gonna sing to you after they empty him

  • Since May, '81... the BIGGEST Police fan here......

  • Kick ass song

  • greatest song

  • i just like it how they say

    " id geuss you'd call it ... etc "

  • Sting and the Police.....priceless!

  • its just the police

  • Sweetheart, Sting was a part of the Police long before he started his solo career. He's their lead singer.

  • Sweetheart, Sting was a part of the Police long before he started his solo career. He's their main singer.

  • Lol, love Sting's glasses.

  • An amazing song. The Police are a damn good band. I hope they come out with a new album.

  • I think they broke up in '88, but came back together in 2007 for a final tour. However they broke up again in 2008 and promised that was it. :(

  • great song!!!

  • That's the longest bass I've ever seen!

  • yeah but its sort of an illusion because its a fret-less.

  • exelente banda y exelente cancion the police me encanta

  • This is my favourite of the Police.love it!

  • Don't argue.......this is shit hot of a song and video..............I was lucky enough to see them in 1980 live.

  • isaw them in concert recently andy is insane

  • LOL they have the best videos in the world xD

  • I've always LOVED the Line "That You Don't Ever Want To See Me Again/And Your Brother's Gonna Kill Me And He's 6'10!"....it is a GREAT LINE!

  • i know it's funny

  • i think the most genious line was

"I guess you'd call it suicide

But I'm too full to swallow my pride"

  • For a Guy Who "CAN'T SING" He's Done QUITE WELL!

  • Bob Dylan can't sing.... sting can.... both are successful

  • My Comment was SARCASTICALY geared to people who think STING can't SING, as a matter of fact, HE CAN! STING who came out of the late 70's-80's BRITISH INVASION, was one of the only guy's who didn't try to sound like DAVID BOWIE, who set a trend for a distinctive voice, but was mimicked by EVERYONE! STING was/is UNIQUE, he is "HIMSELF!" And, oh by the way, BOB DYLAN sings quite well on LAY LADY LAY!

  • dude is ur caps lock button on the fritz or somethin?

  • are you joking? of course Bob Dylan can sing!

why do you think he's so successful?

  • I disagree dylan cant sing. Thats why when people cover his music u realise how good his music is.

  • if it takes the cover until you realise that, then you haven't been listening

  • STING = QUITE HOT

  • Police For Life!

    :D

  • sting w/ glasses

  • thats funny isnt it?

  • ha ha, yes

  • what is your age?

  • 26, why?

  • cos i think its cool how u like 80's music.

  • yes, i think that the 80s were a great era for the music

  • Actually this one was from 1978 If I'm not wrong. But don't mind about me lol.

  • And thus prophesizing the greatness of which would become the 80's...

  • Love this song!another great example of how The Police were influenced by a one Mr Robert Nesta Marley !!Yes I Sting MASH IT !!

  • How would you classify this type of music?

  • White bred reggae

  • This isn't the original.

  • yup i agree police fuckin rocks

  • police just fucking rocks, but man, their vids always suck :(

  • This song represents teen angst and frustration. It's one of their best for sure and it has that anthemic 'I can'tstand losing' feel. This is one of the bsongs that really got me into the Police when I was about 14 and now they are one of my fav bands since they got back together and released the ultimate self titled Police album. Awesome!

  • this song reminds me of my brother.. r.i.p.

thank you for posting the video..

  • this was a great record.

  • I love this song !!!

  • Mika's version sucks!!!

  • My favorite song of the police.

  • i agree man

  • this is such a great song!! I saw them performing it live a couple of days ago.. I still can't believe I saw one of the best bands in the world

  • El battero se parece al flaco Spinetta. Los que siguen el rock en español me comprenderán.

    Buen tema, pegadizo como pocos.

  • this song is pretty sad because its about suicide but its a badass song too

  • i didnt realize the drummer was soo hott lol

  • stiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing <3

  • I can't stand loosing you too.

  • nice glasses

  • Nice glasses Sting.

  • STEWART PLEASE MARRY ME =P

  • love this song one of my favorites

  • Great Song...makes me feel ALRIGHTTTTT!! ;P

  • lol Onizuka13130, quelle horreur! did i say tht rite?

  • I hate it when it goes slow moshin

  • UK Rock! ;)

  • j'ador ces lunettes :D

  • you are gay in a good way

  • THe Police worked well because it was also the time of Starsky and Hutch. Well heck the late 70s and 80s was a great time. Full stop.

  • in ur dreams mate

  • my music appreciation teacher loves the police!

  • Love it how a song can stay for so long so good i dont know when this song was made but its still VERY good

  • sting looks crazy in those big glasses. the police had so much swagger.

  • ska oot yer tits!

  • i first heard this in a music test.

  • How can a person shut up and be dead at the same time?

  • i ment in that order

  • He probably meant shut up then die, although I don't see many dead people talking, so they must be shutting up if they're dead. Think about it.

  • Sigh...

  • The Bass lines hunt me in particular. The bridge one expecially, when it goes from Fmaj to Gmin: it pierces my head and never goes away. I saw them in turin by the way, and they were awesome to say the less. I shouthed and screamed all the songs and I was so excited and my brain was so on endorphines that I remember oly a few bits of the show. I was gone mad...

  • This song has been hunting me for years now: I hum it when I'm thinking of nothing...

  • lol i cheked them performing their song in 2007 and they cudnt remember the word is was quite funny but its a good song that i had answer some questions from in a test i had at school from music.

but it is a very good song!

  • o my gosh!!!!!!!!!!!! i lv the police this is a real bad obsession especial cause i hum their songs in class!

  • This band rocks

  • The coolest band in history.

  • And my LP records and they're all cracked!

  • Comment removed

  • weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • They are very good. Stewart Copeland is one of my fav's. I seriously dig his beats!!! Trippy, precise and so damn groovy it is unreal...go Stewart!!!!!!

  • you can call it lack of confidence

but to carry on livin doesn't make no sense

    true dat :)

  • song is beautyful but sting is very funny

  • LOVE THIS SONG

  • i luv this song is , sting is one of the best singers ever!

  • great song by the police, i love this song and i love the police, the police is the best band in history

  • cool thanks to share classik!

  • WOW Police best of all time NO doubt play me one rap song that is Better

  • Wow the police rock, except they sound exactly the same as the studio version hehe

  • eh... That was sarcasm?

  • It isn't the recording of the live concert, just the video.

  • sythe2o0 :

"but to carry on livin doesn't make no sense" - it's a fragment of the song

  • I know... what does that have to do with it being a recording?

  • They are the best band ever, The Police absolutely rock!

  • wow, i thought the drum part was hard, i didn't notice that it was steppers that stu was doing and not one drop. funny how small things like that makes it a whole lot easier to play.

  • this is music

  • yep-for real, check out terribleTim-watch the one called Rat Fest-totally pure, stripped-down buzzsaw punk- he has a lot of good stuff,he puts some crazy names on some of his vids, but meander through them,he's got some real good stuff-Represent

  • The BEST band ever!!!

  • one of my fav police songs there is

  • I can't, I can't

    I can't stand not liking

    I can't, I can't

    I can't stand not liking

can't stand not liking this frakkin good song

  • taht was so bad but your forgivin cause u like the song

  • I've noticed there's quite a bit of reggae influence in their music.

  • Music has always been influence and attempt to copy A major reason there are so many jazz types- someone copies a genre wrong and a new sound is born. R&B American born but it was Europe that was starved for the sound and couldn't get enough of the influence- hence the "Brittish invasion". It is said the one who came closest to the R&B sound was 17 yr old Steve Winwood when he wrote GIMME SOME LOVIN. He would come back again at 40 with a S. American sound.

  • Great Song! It's pretty cool.

  • Freaking amasing song, i was at there concert last night so awsome

  • Great chorus

  • son muy buenos!

  • no embed? boo.

  • the drummers hot..XD

  • Me too!

  • 'I'm too full to swallow my pride'... one of my favourite lyrics from any song.

  • I see you've sent my letters back

And my LP records and they're all scratched I can't see the point in another day

When nobody listens to a word I say You can call it lack of confidence

But to carry on living doesn't make no sense

  • i can't stand losing you :(

  • I've called you so many times today

And I guess it's all true what your girlfriends say

That you don't ever want to see me again

And your brother's gonna kill me and he's six feet ten

I guess you'd call it cowardice

But I'm not prepared to go on like this

    I can't, I can't

    I can't stand losing

    I can't stand losing you

  • This has got to be my favorite song by them
