Like, I'm playing it, then I mess up or take a while to hit a certain note so it sounds a bit off beat, but I learned most of the notes already. I've left to learn from 0:12 to 0:16, most tabs don't have that part. And from 0:40 till 0:55, I can only find the chords for that part, not notes >_< By the way, how long have you been playing guitar? I've only about 4-5 years under my belt.

Also, try playing over the keyboard in the original and improvise in roughly the same key. =)
