  • Great cover!!! Happy Birthday Fats!!!!!

  • Yeah yeah yeah

  • I give this song a10out of 10 for being awesome

  • Fats Domino gave energy and life to a boring and dry song

  • There is no one in Fat's class. I come from this era and always loved his music. I got see him at Ramstein AB, Germany in 1967 at a huge air show.

  • This Song is the greatest!

  • This hit by Fats Domino hit #19 on the Top 40 charts and #5 on the Rhythm & Blues charts. It would finish at #92 for the year, 1956. On July 9, 1955, Bill Haley and His Comets hit #1 with Rock Around the Clock, signifying the start of the Rock Era. In 1956, a black haired boy from Tupelo, Mississippi named Elvis Presley Hit #1 with Heartbreak Hotel, shooting this new sound into the stratosphere.

  • Fantastic - saw "Fats" twice in London (Royal Albert Hall and Hammersmith Odeon)-amongst the best concerts I ever attended

  • This is great, but the Gene Autry version is more contemplative.

  • @bargainmom Contemplate THIS :)

  • 3 people don't have a blue heaven .

  • Man, why music nowadays ain't like this? Seriously, I'm tired of all those shitty songs that look all the same... FATS, WE NEED YOU!!!

  • Great cover by the Fat Man, my favorite version.

  • this one is for you, HAZEL. You're not around anymore, but each time i hear FATS

sing that song, i think of you. Thank you Fats....

  • They and especially Fats and the others knew what making music was! Today- jek!!

  • nope was born 3 decades later =(

  • 1956 to 1957, what great memories of Josie and El Paso, Tx. Anyone around from that time and place?

  • I think of Josie dancing with me way back in 1957 in El Paso, Tx. She had a beautiful smile all the time. Thanks Fats and Josie for the good times.

  • every time I here this song it reminds me of a gangster movie at the end he's in the witness protection program in a sub division. and they play this song . any one remember the name of that movie ?

  • @hobieslug45

    goodfellas?

  • @50sJohnny thanks. going to check out netflix now

  • @hobieslug45 My Blue Heaven

  • @hobieslug45 Yeah i think its My Blue Heaven with Rick Moranis and Steve Martin

  • As an atheist, I must say that this is one of my favorite classics due to that it conveys the message so clearly:

We already have all we need, the "heaven" is here on earth. No need to fall for the false promises of an afterlife when we have such a great setup here.

  • @TheFacelessActivist this could be a stretch for some people (not for me ) but thanks for pointing that out .

  • i heard this movie in My Blue Heaven with Steve Martin.

  • THE BIGGEST SELLING ARTIST OF THE 1950'S THIRD BEHIND ELVIS & PAT BOONE OF COURSE.

  • MASH is awesome!

  • Second to the unpublished version in Korean that's on M*A*S*H, this version is my favorite.

  • M*A*S*H soundtrack

  • There's something I love about this song. The original is beautiful too.

  • The best version of this song.

  • gee they were great times .

  • It's pure , like when it was back then

    Really enjoyed rediscovering this

    Thanks

  • Fats is pure ebullience!

  • ONE THUMB DOWN??? WTF???

  • I love Fats Domino - One of my all time favourites and completely underestimated by most!

  • @happypamela I loved the movie by the same name with Steve Martin! Silly funny!

  • I came here from Scorsese's video, thank goodness I did.

  • HOW THE HELL DID PAT BOONE SELL MORE THAN THE FATS.?????/DAMN RACIST AMERICA...

  • @XXXXLOWRIDERXXXX Don't be so down on Pat. He had a sweet voice. You can't blame people for not immediately taking to music that was new to them. They came around. It just took a little time. Interestingly, both Pat and Fats were around for decades.

  • @XXXXLOWRIDERXXXX yeah, and I see you're helping to keep racism alive.

  • @TheAzmountaineer ..NOW U KNOW THEY WERE REAL RACIST IN THE 50 s........WHEN PAT BOONE..LOL..HAS MORE HITS THAN ANY BLACK SINGER IN THE 50S AND 60S....IM STATING FACTS IS ALL...NOT RACISIM

  • @XXXXLOWRIDERXXXX - Pat Boone, LOL That does boggle the mind, like his Tutti Fruiti vs. little Richard's, WTH? But why bring it up, except to stir something up. It was 50+ years ago, let's move on. Plus the record companies ripped off everyone they could, all the performers and writers, whatever color. They still do, the equal opportunity scumbags.

  • @TheAzmountaineer YEA.TRUE....BUT NOW MUSIC REALLY SUCKS.....BIEBER.LADY CACA...BEYONCE....ETC ETC...UGHHH

  • I like Fats' style set to this old 1920's tune.

  • Fats rocks!!!

  • Thanks for posting man..Great song..

  • @50yoda

    Fats is still alive

  • @50yoda Is he dead!!!

  • Herbert Hardesty (saxophone) is the man!

  • Is that Herbert Hardesty on sax? The best...

  • THE BEST!!!!!

  • His music is as great now as it was when I saw him way back in the 50's on stage

  • reminds me on the steve martin movie MY BLUE HEAVEN better than great movie better than great song

  • i first him on savage and start liking him ever since:)

  • j'adore danser et lorsque j'entant cette musique je m'envole merci FATS
