  • I visit Malaysia especially the sarawak area every so often and I never fail to visit the Sarawak Cultural Village and the amazing performances in their theater. It is really good of the Sarawak State Tourism to come with an idea of a cultural village where you can walk though all the long houses with an admiring view of the cliffy forest. The welcome performances in all the long houses are truly welcoming. No wonder Malaysia claims the truly asia theme...Bravo!!!

  • ni org iban talking (NGAJAT LESUNG)

  • Lovely video clip.. every traditional dance at sarwak communities

  • Awesome....Thanks!!!!

  • i love kampung budaya....ooooooooohahahahahahaha

  • The number of the hornbill feather on the man head head gear is also not right. For commoner it has to be less than 3 feather but not on this type of head gear.

The commoner wear a hat typically like the person play the sape.(guitar like instrument)

  • Orang Ulu man does not have tatoo on them, but in this video the orang ulu dancer have tatoo on his leg. Therefore he is not orang ulu.

The vest like is something like modern type of dress. The original used is like the bear skin, goat(get from trading in the kalimantan or brought by merchant in the old day) which is for the commoner.

For royal they will wear skin made of leopard skin, which symbolize power and of a noble family. So no commonner should wear them.

  • At the Sarawak Cultural Village on the 23-24 May 2009, there will be a World Harvest Festival with lots of activities, Miss Fair & Lovely, Ironmen, Cultural show from invited artists...India, Latvia and Sri Lanka.

  • I just came back from kuching and had the pleasure of attending the cultural show performed in the cultural village. My god! It was a fantastic experience!
