Ack! Found CT in a closet when my ps3 ate my CS, went looking for some combos for what I was assuming to be a retro lambda ... and now that I've tried a few ... holy hell the damage.

@NeutroNova ive had calamity trigger for about a month or so and im already pretty descent so i decided to play online (yea when u first play online its kinda scary) and there were a lot of lvl20+ ppl so i decided to host a match and used 3 of my best characters (V-13-, noel, and jin) and i ended up getting lvl13 in a day so basically get the game try story mode,arcade, and/or training mode and then once you get the hang of it you can all the combo's and to be honest im still learning these

Uhm I'm thinking about to buy this game but this V-13 kinda looks ... overpowered? I mean she can spam projectiles all over the screen? Please tell me do you have to hit the combos in real time like in Super Street Fighter or can you just type in the whole thing as fast as you can and watch it go?

@Awesome1601 overpowered? not at all :/ i mean, she IS annoying, seriously XD but she has really low health, so only 2 or 3 combos from an average character and she is done for. and she has no close-combat special moves at all, so get close to her and the game is yours ;)

Do you seriously have to do THAT MANY directional movements for certain attacks? Like "down left up left right down A"?!?!? That seems reaaallly tricky

@NeutroNova That's more advanced stuff, you should be able to get into the game even if you don't master all of the combos right away. For the most part, most characters specials never get more difficult that a 632146 (half-circle back, then straight forward. Look at your number pad for reference)

Though, there are characters with full 720 spins, such as Iron Tager. Don't worry, you'll get the hand of it :D

you can really spam nus drive. i mean you can do the usual ones people do but they can be easily dodged. also its not very strong. ive gone against unlim ragna as unlim nu. got 30 hit combo. and he hit me twice and i lsoe more health

Its one thing that they gave nu projectiles but they still went too far by giving her so many other tools like gravity sheild and great c attacks like the down forward one. I know nu has weaknesses but she doesn't hav enough I mean as long as she is not in the corner she can always back dash as she is being attacked and her dash gives a good space cushion, she could probably go right into her sword summoner right after her dash. nu tips the balance in characters. Srry to nu fans

Although I'm a huge Nu-user as well, I don't believe she's utterly imbalanced.

Her attacks are mostly mid- to long-range, and her short-ranged ones aren't particularly fast and doesn't have much invulnerability frames. For short, people that can dash in extremely fast and smack her close are dangerous...and even if you do back-step, you'll find yourself in a corner sooner or later and die there. There's are a lot of them out there, mainly Ragna, Jin, and Bang, so she's not THAT imba IMO >___>

lol of course you'll defend her your a nu player. I feel the opposite, yea she has weaknesses and a nu player like your self would note them but her weaknesses aren't enough to balance how powerful she is or even come close to leveling her out. I would feel differently if she were like carl and it took a great deal of skill to pull off most of her stuff but even basic players can use simple stratagies and spam little strings and get away with soo much. she needs a restraint like a drive meter

Well, I'm not really defending her. It's just that I find that all the characters have a definitive strengths and weakness, and nu is no exception.

...although I do agree that her drive is too much when spammed. yes, I've felt rage when I see people just going drive-drive-drive-drive without even doing her *sexy* heavy moves. T^^T

..and yes, her drive range is broken. I remember going a Silpheed-jump to the highest corner and her drive STILL hit me. I was leik, o_O

yea r u talking about the one that comes from behind cus there are some things they just shouldn't have givin her like that move, or gravity well or that tap c poke cus that comes out fast and it should have been more of her weakness not to beable to fight up close. but u can dash in and she can interupt you with that rapid c move

Well, the one that comes from behind is balanced enough (normal sword summoner or the sickle move), but I meant the 2C which reaches a Silpheed-high jump up the highest corner..point is, I think sword summoner doesn't have a fixed range but a fixed linear range that extends forever after the huge close-to-mid gap.

..and YES gravity well is broken. The rapid 5C-move has a slower startup that 2C tho, but makes a great hit-confirm, so yes that's broken too. xDD

You could also try a variation of the third combo.

Instead of jumping and hitting the enemy with another sword, use her Act Parcer to get on the other side. and then repeat as many times as it'll let you.

Practice it in training, and then practice on a computer opponent. Then use it on a real person. =} Hope this helps.
