Also, for all of you people who likes Bowl of Fire, listen to the guitar solo in Minor Stab, it's just out of this world, the studio version that is. Never heard it live. I always end up listening in awe to that guitar solo. I don't know the name of Bird's guitarist in Bowl of Fire.

It changed, but for MInor Stab I'm pretty sure it was James Mathus from the Squirrel Nut Zippers. He helped a lot with Andrew Birds early recordings. Played trombone and banjo for him from time to time as well.

Yeah, he reuses lyrics a lot. The phrase "ritual self-torture" is in more than one song (though I couldn't tell you which ones).
