You should go to work for ScanSnap!!!!! My question is this...if you receive bills electronically in the form of a pdf, can they be imported into Evernote?? Your video is excellent and very useful. Going to buy the ScanSnap but am trying to decide between the 1300 and the 1500M. Any advice?
@SpringCreekBoy Ya, if you get pdf bills, you can just drag them into Evernote and they will become searchable if you hare a pro account. I got the 1300 because I take it to trade shows. If you don't need the portability, the 1500 is more heavy duty and faster.
well i have to say after watching your video i decided to buy the scansnap 1300 and download evernote.. I am really just scanning important documents and receipts.. but.. how do i scan say a resume and make it so i can change it at a later date?? someone told me i needed to scan it into a diff program and then send it to evernote.. is that right? which program is good (and free).. I have a mac.. Thanks for your video.. made me get organized!!
Hi John, love your video! Brought the scansnap scanner after seeing it and I have a question. Is it possible when scanning two documents to merge them into the one note? I have set it up so my documents go straight to Evernote. Thanks :)
Chow, what is the security risk? You uploaded credit card statements to Evernote's Cloud. Seems insane. Also buy a shredder for crying out loud. Also seem like an Apple fanboy.
What are the pros/cons between Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300 Deluxe Bundle for PC and Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300 Instant PDF Multi Sheet-Fed Scanner? is the Rack2-Filer software worth the higher price scanner?
Thanks for the great review. I bought a Neat Receipts Scanner and it has been a real nightmare. I was ready to give up on trying to do a paperless office.
I fell prey to the "design" of the Neat Scanner. Kudos to their product design firm for creating a form factor.
Anyhow it worked ONCE with my IT guy setting it up. I don't have time for needing an IT guy and tech support. I just need to connect it and go. It looks like the ScanSnap and Evernote (which I love and use) is the right way to go.
Mr. Chow, Well done. That succinct executive overview is a real efficient turn-key solution for all of one's paperless office needs and requirements. That's my next project now.
How do you put in a stack of miscellanous papers and then store them individually in different Evernote notebooks? When I scan a stack of papers, I am only given the option to save it as one file. Any help? Thank you!
i want to do this put the all my paper in evernote using my Neat Receipts SCANALIZER Portable Scanner #270690353916. i have a mac and it only works on windows XP or vista. anyone know how to make it work on mac. even when i use the built in image capture it doesn't work
HI John, I'm ACTUALLY scanning to Evernote using the ScanSnap S1300 while I am watching your demo! I was hesitant at first to "let go" of my hard copy files....now I'm on FAST FORWARD to get rid of it ALL! So easy. Evernote is the only program I now use and I use it for EVERYTHING! Your video is excellent. Thanks! And your "helper" is really cute! babs
Thanks John. I've been using Evernote for a while now, and just burned out my HP All-In-One, so I ordered a ScanSnap S1300 on Amazon yesterday. Can't wait to finish emptying out my file cabinet.
I saw a tweet from @GideonShalwick to this video and I am convinced as well. Fantastic John. I have started using evernote but this will just turboboost the usage. Thanks :)

S1500M:
Even after adding the 20% VAT, why is it over 30% more expensive in the UK, rather than the US?
Ripping-off UK users, or actual reason why. Explanation please...?
– People, check both Amazon and Apple stores, UK vs UK (do the conversions, add the 20% VAT to the US prices) and see what I mean.

Is this only for scansnap or can I use any other scanner?
Angel7Six 4 weeks ago
@Angel7Six Fuji scanner has native support for Evernote. Other scanners will need some kind of plugin or additional software.

@Angel7Six You will need additional software to use other scanners. Scansnap has native support for evernote.

I love the ScanSnap. I own both the 1300 and the 1500. Have you ever thought about using dropbox instead?
drticzon 3 months ago
@drticzon I have a 10GB dropbox account but it's mostly use to sharing files.

Have you tried OfficeDrop? If so, how does it compare to the Evernote software as OfficeDrop has Evernote integration?

John, how is Evernote different from Paperless by Mariner software?
robertj4875 1 year ago
@robertj4875 Paperless stores your files on your computer. Evernote stores it on your comp and in the cloud. Paperless cost money. Evernote is free.
