  • That was a crazy hit ,Chanderpaul.

  • i had respected brett for a while but now he is on top...good man.. on the other side i remember rickey started appealing when sachin got hit in like 2004

  • Look at lees face at 0:21 hes like - oh my god I knocked him out, please get up quickly!

  • true gentleman - brett lee would bury you if he killed you

  • Thats a fucking TKO

  • does anyone know what he went on to make?

  • The title of this video is utterly insensitive. It's incredible that he manages to carry on after being out for the count for close on 2 minutes.

  • @ColourDeficient actually "lick dung" is a dialect term used in the caribbean means to get hit by something

  • Pointing checking . . @1:25 y he didn't play wid the bat . . he had it on him . .

  • Brett lee is a nice man who always runs and apologize the batsmen if he floors him

  • ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lol

  • dropped like a sack of potatoes....Lee is legendary.

Love to see WI become the powerhouse they were in the 80s.

  • ponting is as cool as a cucumber checking his bat if its O.K @ 1: 25

  • wonder what ball was bowled at him next

  • Lee should have just pulled Shiv out of his crease & knock the bail out lol

    he got KO'd

  • he lucky hain dead

  • Did the curry mucher not score a century after he got up if I am not mistaken????

  • tiger.......he has a loving wife too

  • bloody curry munchers !! slum loving piece of trash !!

  • needs to learn to play the pull shot lol

  • @01242692723 hahahaha

  • wtf? u stupid asshole why dont u go try and face brett lee on a bouncy day and when he's in the mood for bouncers? shiv's no slow poke douchebag

  • Dont worry Edwards dealt with Lee after!

  • Bravo ... what a TIGER ...

  • ahahahahaha

  • @MixingLaboratory Wow, you really don't know what you're talking about do you. The 1 million+ brits that left after the war left because they wanted to. You have a problem with Aussies huh?

Dear PedroH35, the above is a comment that you seemed to have removed. Why?

I have no beef with the Aussies, do you have a problem with "darkies". The answer is probably - Yes.

  • No need for the whole Aussie team to stand so close.. Thet actually get in the way.

  • after that in the same game in aus 2nd innings fidel did that same thing 2 brett....HAHA!!

  • thank god he fell inside the crease

aussies are bastards when it comes to winning matches by hook or by crook.

  • @mils2211 Aussies are CROOKS by nature. The brits send all the criminals from britain to Australia.

  • Comment removed

  • @MixingLaboratory What a loads of bollocks mate! Some of the 1st white people in Aus were sent there as convicts from the UK but prison officers, families and many bureaucrats were sent as well. Also, after the 2nd WW, over 1 milion brits emigrated to Aus under the 10 pound pom scheme. So what a load of bollocks you're talking mate!

  • @PedroH35 BULLSHIT. The aussies are the offspring of criminals shipped out of britain and low life scum that left britain because they were not wanted there.

  • @MixingLaboratory Wow, you really don't know what you're talking about do you. The 1 million+ brits that left after the war left because they wanted to. You have a problem with Aussies huh?

  • holy crap

    I thought he was dead.

  • Strange title cuz he got up, never left the field of play, and went on to score a century.

  • tiger fell like a mouse=))

  • awesome vid.

shit ending though, u couldnt even see him face the next ball after the KO

  • whats with the stupid title?

Good bowling, but horrible to see someone hurt like that.

  • hahahahhahaha good one..

  • Lee was genuinely concerned.was about to remove d helmet an sum1 like dey tel him no.

  • HAHAHHA Ponting! "Hmm, Its a good bat... Feels abit heavy... hmmm, Hay huss! Look at this, What do you think? would you use it?

  • he is checking out bat because he doesn't have anything to do while Chanderpaul is getting treatment......... it is funny though...... his wife is crying as well.... Brett Lee is great human being

  • @Leighakin maybe shiv was still hanging onto it thats why it was heavy lol

  • Ponting checking out his bat while he is knocked out. lol

  • shiv is such an underrated player. he deserves legend status.

as of rite now...chanderpaul has played 121 test matches and scored 8576 runs.

Sir Vivian richards played 121 test matches and scored 8540 runs.

it's a massive achievement to match and even surpass Sir Viv's stats all be it without the power of viv richards.

he is the only man besides Sir on Bradman to average more than 100 in consecutive calendar years and one of only 4 batsmen to do it at all. ...

  • he is the West Indies' highest run scorer aside World Record holder Brian lara.

he is the only batsman in history to ever face 1000 balls without gettin out.

he is one of 6 players to bat 1000mins without getting out and he is the only one to do it more than once...a feat he has achieved FOUR times.

only lara, sobers and vivian richards have score more centuries.

he shares the record with Sir Everton weekes for havingthe most consecutive 50's.

  • his comparative feats place him in a league of legends of the game. Sir everton weekes, Sir Gar Sobers, Sir vivian richards, sir Don Bradman, Brian lara, Sachin Tendulkar. all the while batting at no. 6 playing second fiddle behind gayle.

why is it that we have no problems wih th legend status these greats hold but when Shiv matches their feats he is still criticized? Shiv is a legend in my book and anyone who says otherwise is an idiot

  • **sorry..i meant to playing second fiddle behind Lara and in terms of accolades and applause behind Gayle**

  • lol legit knocout

  • look at Ponting......putting ah kookabura hex on Shiv bat lol

  • turned his head why?

  • Its reflex.

  • thanks captain obvious, i was meaning like the worst thing to do in cricket is too turn away he could at leats try play it or actually move "out of the way" its a bouncer they come slower than a full pitched delivery...

  • Warrior Warrior thats comitment to the highest level..... how many players would have comtinue batting????? Chanderpaul the worlds best and the best the world's gonna ever see........ Chanderpaul #1

  • Did ya'll hear what happened to Daniel Flynn of NZ @ 5:02. His tooth got knocked out also in a previous match... WOW!!! That must have hurt not to mention his profile photos also.

  • Damn... watch?v=WcpwNpP0bHM

i feel for him for real :(

  • i cant bear watching him on pain....... as for profile photo...... grumpy face to cover up teeth

  • i m glad lee didnt appeal for an LBW like a selfish bitch..

  • Chav

  • That delivery was a flying Mike Tyson haha

  • good thing shiv collaps inside his crease the aussy would prob try and run him out if he wasnt lol

  • @nottinghampokerpro lol yeah your probably right, I think Shiv knew that as well and made sure he had something behind the line.

  • @nottinghampokerpro fuck britain....you were friends of australia when it was convenent....eg. ww1 where you used us as sheep. u fucking go and suck the queens old ass minge

  • @Dragonsfantcam ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ you ant worth me writing anything else :-)

  • @nottinghampokerpro haha good point

  • That brought tears to my eyes. Love chanderpaul and I also love brett lee. But to see the guy slump to the ground like that gave me goose bumps.

I hope Lee followed up with another bouncer at him.

No hard feelings. It's just the game that we choose to play.

  • yeah well said mate

  • You'd think it would be best to get him checked out at a hospital once he lost consciousness? It's not worth risking your life over a game

  • but his life is the game

  • that was great sportsman ship all round.....lee seems to be a top guy......n wat a tough guy shiv is, fantastic player!!

  • anybody know what he ended up scoring? Did he get his century??

  • yeah 119

  • geez that ball wasnt even a long way above stumps wasnt even really a bouncer poor bastard ducked too far

  • You'd have need more than that to get chanders off the pitch when he's on a score. Stubborn little bugger! Lives to bat for hours!

  • Thats not funny, making fun of someone getting hurt...Change the heading

  • omg look at ponting a man's down and he has a look at his bat 1:23

  • well there's not much he could really do, standing around him staring at him isn't going to help, that's like saying OMG look at Haddin he's just having a drink

  • lol

  • brett lee is one of the nicest people you will ever meet not only does he go over to chechk if hes alright he does it to everyone hes hit but to kids like me when you want an autograph

  • yes very nice guy i agree :)

  • yup brett lee is humbled as a person :-) saw in a couple of interviews too

  • i agree very uhh sportsman like player you could say

  • o baby when a fast ball hits an extremely DASH ball it his duty to go to the batsmen first that is he fine or NOT

  • That is brilliant sportsmanship that matches the time when Flintoff consoled Lee at the end of the Edgbaston test in 2005.

  • It's hardly brilliant sportsmanship - it's common sense. So surely you're saying it would be normal to knock someone out cold while bowling and not go and see if they were ok? I don't think so these days

  • anyway u look at it lee is a nice guy and showed concern straight away unlike some cricketers....i.e mcgrath and edwards

  • wat about satan??????

  • every cricketer is a good sportsman and has great respect for his opponents and apart from andre nel he is to competive and racist

  • If he wasn't wearing a helmet it might well have killed him.

  • Good Helmet.

  • absolutely love the west indies..... best best best team.... love them forever..... oooooo and they beat england today and got the trophy back!!!!!!!

  • look at ponting playing with chanderpaul's bat at 1:22 lol... then looking at the bat and thinkin... hmm not bad at 1:27... then at 1:30 mike hussey grabs it off him to have a look himself... funny

  • Good spot mate. That is quite funny given the situation.

  • Comment removed

  • brett lee win ? lol

    chanderpaul fall go boom!!!!!!!!!!!1

    ownage haha

  • what so funny about that..... lee did not mean to get chanderpaul injured... he just ducked to a quite low bouncer expecting it to flyover his head... the Caribbean pitch are slow and dead so it doesnt give the bounce expected

  • BAAAAAM

  • Lee and Chanderpaul are both great players, who respect each other immensely. Lee has a heart like Pharlap, Chanderpaul is brave and a gifted player...Maybe some of these fans should show the same reverence and respect that the players do!

  • Great comment Geoff. Some of the Aussie/English comments here go over the top. The rivalry is on the sports pitch, and it should stay there. The Aus-Eng rivalry is borne out of friendship really, it's about healthy respect, not hatred. I have huge respect for Lee. I have seen him show great sportmanship on several occasions. Chanderpaul too, great batsman, great cricketer.

  • spoken like a true idoit!!!!

  • i hope lee bowled him another bouncer next ball LMAO

  • He woke up and then made a century...Lee is garbage

  • the racism between aussies and indians is worse than anything ive ever seen. come on... its just a game.

  • the indians start it lol, all over the sydney test match, i agree get the fuck over it

  • u fukin idiot.......how much does it take to admit that u wudve got ur ass whooped had the umpires not come to ur aid?

  • ever hear anyone else care or whinge about some crap umpiring decisions?

have a sook, u lost, deal with it

  • owed!!!

  • you smutty little boy

  • nice shiv get lick dung

  • you Aussies do not have no respect are sense you cannot take other people who are different to have talent

  • im an aussie and I think different, people that do that kind of stuff are a disgrace

  • LEGEND! i can watch Chanderpaul bat for hours... and frequently have done! any side would want him in thier side!

  • I'm a Nigerian living in st. kitts for abt 3 yrs now. He is the only man i watch in WI matches. He is a tiger, he can stand on the field for abt 4 hrs in a match no stumbles. he can play a test match or a series( pls don't eat me i'm not used to cricket grammar, i'm from a soccer mad country) not out. Sry but without him windies are crap

  • ponting seems to like the bat :)

  • lol nicely noticed

  • I think Lee thought he killed him at first. *pulls collar*

  • "lee on his follow thru the 1st one there" and you want to ges who the 1st one OUTa there??

    mother fucking Symond...or Monkey...lol

  • Real mature, pre-pubescent douche.

you can't even spell his name right.

  • he was out cold and he got up and kept batting. what a legend! i'm an aussie by the way.

  • Still stands up and gets a century.

  • I have massive respect for this man. I still think that he should bat lower down the order, maybe at 3 because he often ends up having a century not out. Chanderpaul is a legend in my opinion.

  • Yeah he should bat at 3, Sarwan at 4.

  • i know shiv is a good batsman and those things but its better to have Sarwan bat in front of him

  • around 1.25 is that ponting having a look at the bat!? Whats more concerning?

  • He gets knocked out..........and continues to bat.....just like when he made the hundred against AUS with the broken finger.....My word.

    Shiv is a legend.

  • ricky pontings mucking around with chanderpaul's bat!!!

  • bichara

  • we need to thank god he didnt die..who else gon bat?

  • i dont think anybody can take away any credit from chanderpaul at all.this is the only man batting 4 west indies and its so it bin 4 years even wen Lara was there cause Brian dont score hundreds everytime and i think shiv was more consistant than Brian 2. Shiv by himself is lyk a whole team.if windies used 2 jus let shiv bat by himself we myt win more series..lol..not taking away from the other windies players but Shiv is the man they got 2 build around otherwise we SALT

  • The team seems to be finally coming along. Sarwan and Gayle contributing along with Nash. We just need another opening partner for Gayle and number 4 batsman.

  • You're right. We also need Bravo back cuz he's our best fielder, a good bowler, and a much better/smarter batsman than guys like Devon Smith. We also need Ramdin to bat with some sense and consistency (his hundred was good but I'm still not convinced he's up to par). Oh and Chanderpaul needs a huge paycheck after every game.

  • CHANDERPAUL IS A LEGEND !!

  • that was scary

  • i was kind of sacerd

  • Well Shiv is now a legend in his own right. Completly unorthodox but he has the heart of a lion/tiger!. In any game if you have the heart and desire you will have won 50% of the battle. Shivvy you were not out in both innings of the 2nd test, I am sure the Aussies are sick of you!!!!Mind you the player of the second test was Russel Tippen who messed up the match with making 3wrong decisions in 4 balls. That is just NOT up to test standards.good to see Lee get a bit of his own medicine!

  • he started playing for windies in 1992 what an asset he has been for them

  • Chanderpaul is an inspiration. I remember watching him as a young kid when WI toured India in 94/95 and thought how puny and dimunitive he looked for a pro cricketer...and he has lasted 13 years since that and still going strong with great averages in both tests and ODI!! great batsman..

  • Chanderpaul is one of the greats. Anyone that says he isn't knows very little about cricket.

    End of discussion.

  • u tek a lick from a lee bouncer and tell me if u can be bale to hit the ball still in the middle of the bat and go on to make 118 from 86

  • How many batsmen could? Lol, oh come on, he was already on 80 something, good on him for playing on though.

Lee then got some treatment from the West Indies in much the same manner.

Then the Australian recovered from the worse situation they have been in after 5 wickets since 1936 and won the game!

How many teams could do that?

  • Show me how many batsmen can recover and hit a century after this. Aussies ur days are numbered.

  • it it was mcgrath bowling, he would have launched into a big lbw appeal and continued till the umpire gave it out...

    shameless glenn

  • yea brett's a much nicer guy on the field :)

he's the perfect fast bowler, but he's got a heart.

    good guy

  • chanderpaul cant play pace at all. If any of you got an idea about cricket, nudging and poking is not considered playing fast bowling. When you talk about sachin, lara, viv , ponting etc now you talking bout batsmen that could play pace bowling.

  • Yuh talking rubbish buddy, Chanderpaul can play pace without even swinging his bat...bare edges and cuts around the ground!

You dont rate him, but any player that can leave an away series against a top country with a plus 100 average is to be respected!!

  • you are correct.

chanderpaul is a nudger against fast bowlers. its very rare that you can get a drive out of him when against the pacers.

  • big six and four off vaas

  • Ummmmmmmmm Shiv plays plenty of drives, and it's almost always to the pacers. He plays the pull shot about as well as anyone, and that's against the pacers as well. The man just scored 118 runs against Australia, you think those runs were scored from nudges?

When England couldn't dismiss him last summer, who was he scoring his runs against?

  • no no, don't get me wrong. shiv is an amazing player. however, he's no tendulkar or lara or ponting when it comes to playing pacers.

he can score, but he lacks that genius and aggression that is needed against the pacers.

  • most of tendulka runs are scored against the weaker teams. out of his thirty something hundreds only about 4 or 5 are scored against the stronger teams. lara had some trouble to play pace. chanders plays pace better than both of the other batsmen because he is a natural timer of the ball. which makes him better.

  • do you enjoy lying?

9 of tendulkar's centuries were scored against australia alone, not to mention his centuries against pakistan and south africa and england.

and you're fighting a losing battle. there is no way that any cricket expert would say that chanderpaul was a better player than Brian Lara AND Sachin Tendulkar.

  • Yes Lara and tendulka is great but why do people take away the credit from shivnarine chanderpaul. He was in the shadow of lara and has been one of the most consistent batsmen there is right now. As far as i know tendulka never had to live in anyone's shadow and he always had batsmen around to support him. chanders most of the time has to do it by himself.

  • tendulka is great. but i put chanders in his class even though most people wouldnt say so. This is my opinion and everyone is entitled to theirs, for a batsman to stand up and fiht in almost evry innings by himself.

  • yes everyone is entitled to their opinion. i just wanted you to elaborate.

yes, there is no doubt that chanderpaul is great. he is one of those players like dravid that if they get in, you just can't get them out.

and i completely agree with you in that he is not given enough credit. he is SO MUCH BETTER than that gayle, who isn't even that consistent. but, yes, that is cricket sadly.

  • He has to be great. chanders has 3 hundreds against aust. and two of them he was injured. wheater it is a losing battle or what. Just because of his technique that works for him he don't get recognition and he always on the losing side. So ah guess he cant be great because of that. But he is the Caribbean hero and them waste of time like gayle and them are treated like royalties. But hey ah guess that cricket.

  • dat nerd jus start watch cricket the other day. he doesn't know anything. Chanderpaul is one of if not the most consistent, reliable batsmen in the world.

  • Lee's knocked out at least one batsman in every cricketing country. He's one deadly bowler.

  • he is a deadly bowler, and damn good.

but who has he knocked out in the indian team?

  • that was sickening.. chanders is an awsome batsmen.. course he can play pace.. now that laras gone, hes the batsmen opposition teams fear the most..and such a genuinly nice guy too..im a sri lankan but i fully enjoyed how he hit a 6 and a 4 off the last two balls to clinch that odi.. i hope he scores more runs in the second innings and wins the windies the game.

  • that blow is only going to push him to score more runs

  • if he can't play pace bowling alvin34865, then he's done superhumanly well to withstand at least a decade of test cricket and cricket at domestic level, playing against the likes of his former teammates walsh and ambrose.

  • Man listen, chanderpaul is an ordinary batsman with an ordinary record. Thats it. He is not a viv or a lara or a sobers. He is in the second league and thats about as far as he will get.

  • Cricinfo had a good piece a few weeks ago on Chanderpaul's career. He may not hit the highest scores in any form of the game, but he's a consistent, reliable, dependable batsman.

  • I can assure you, Shiv aint no ordinary batsman. He isn't a Lara (who is anyway?), he is Chanderpaul, a guy who cherishes his wicket as good as the best in the world. Check his stats for 2007 and you'll understand this guy's skill.

  • u dont know one rass u talkin about...shiv is one of de best cricketer..cant play pace bowlin?? u rass stupid

  • Just cuz a batsman gets hit in his head doesn't mean he can't play pace. On a tricky pitch like this with uneven bounce, and a 90mph ball from the fastest bowler in the world (yep, the FASTEST) even the best batsmen will get hit. At least he didn't get out, and he still made his century

  • Yes much better than Shoiab Akhter but officialy Brett is not the fastest. Keep the records rite plz!

  • Who is the fastest then? Hmmmm?

  • wow that looked terrible!
