The first time I heard this song I found myself prostrate before God and weeping in gratitude. Even now, years later, it still invokes the deepest worship from me. He has been faithful and His faithfulness is magnified in my UNfaithfulness. God deserves all glory and honor. Thank You for Your faithfulness, Lord. I'm grateful for Your new mercies.

So, God being God reached down and plucked a young and tender flower from his beautiful garden so HE can watch it grow. I will keep you in my prayers for strength. Read Matthew 6:33 for strength.
The reality of a God as faithful as the God of the bible and the reminder coming from these lyrics, immediately brought tears to my eyes. The brokeness that comes from realizing that none of my failures or short commings can slow the love of God and his faithfulness towards me. I praise him from m the depths of my heart knowing that I have been rescued from the gutter-most to the utmost.
As a young Christian this song was a great source of encouragement to me. God's faithfulness was the assuring factor in my relationship with him. Now some 20 years later I have a better understanding of his faithfulness.

@TheChristianOPM No, it's Damaris Carbaugh. They kinda have a similar tone at times though. I grew up listening to Brooklyn Tab and Damaris. Such a sweet and genuine heart for the Lord and those in need that this church has. Just love it!

To date, ever since coming to know the Lord, when I heard this song sung in my first evangelical worship service, these words, this GOD, He has been faithful. This song was sung at my first husbands remembrance service eighteen years ago this month. The words, the GOD of this song, all still ring true. Thank you for sharing, for worshiping in truth.

@Sweetdanger5000 All of the songs Damaris Carbaugh has done during the earlier years of The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir's Music Ministry are like that. You'll be simililarly touched by songs like 'Just To Be Close To You' and 'All I Want Is You Lord'. You should probably try to get a hold of the albums 'So In Love' - Produced and Copied in 1983, and 'Giving Him Thanks' - 1981. Brooklyn Tab's earlier music was quite special.

Shes is incredible. The song is very emotional and the instrumentation fits perfectly. It doesn't get much better than this. I'll bet there wasn't a dry eye in God's house after that display of love and faith via song.

I just had my daughter who is now 25 years old listen to this song. We both recognize this voice as the one who lead the song "I Am Not Ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ" by the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir when my daughter was only 9 years old. She gave her heart to God with tears of joy streaming down her face as we played their CD. Praises be to God Almighty, Always.

So, God being God reached down and plucked a young and tender flower from his beautiful garden so HE can watch it grow. I will keep you in my prayers for strength. Read Matthew 6:33 for strength.

The reality of a God as faithful as the God of the bible and the reminder coming from these lyrics, immediately brought tears to my eyes. The brokeness that comes from realizing that none of my failures or short commings can slow the love of God and his faithfulness towards me. I praise him from m the depths of my heart knowing that I have been rescued from the gutter-most to the utmost.
