  • Just got back from seeing scratch acid live in NY, amazing.

  • Tathagata,

Yeah, that's the same thing those boomers who went to Woodstock said....

  • I saw david yow tie his dick in a bow :)

  • THIS IS MY FUCKIN' FAVORITE MOFO

  • i was lucky enough to see their warm up set in austin. will go down as one of my favorits

  • I was lucky enough to see Scratch Acid live several times. When I heard that they were doing a reunion concert, I made my son listen to Scratch Acid for a month just so he'd really appreciate the experience when he saw them. One of the best shows ever.

  • scratch acid are too hardcore for most

  • The crod is barely moving. Ungrateful bastards!! Scratch Acid gives you crazyness, you fuckin move dammti!!!

  • HIPSTER SPOCK!

  • Rey Washam 1

  • I started my own label just for music like this and anything home recorded.

  • i wish i was there!

  • Awesome band. Awesome anniversary concert. I wish more music was like this now. I guess I am getting old.

  • no I'm 23 and I wish music like this was being made... I"m trying...

  • Me too. I'm a one man band at the moment, just like you.

  • I'm 14 and I wish music like this was still being made

  • Buy a guitar and make it happen.

  • there are bands that are somewat like this, if u wanna know of some dude messege me and ill tell u the ones i can think of,

  • they're out there, but shitheads in the industry make it very hard to find that's for sure. Rather than supporting a band like Qui they'd much rather support Wolfmother..

  • I think the majority of people wouldn't really go for this, so it makes sense that bands like Wolfmother (a lot more accessible/ family friendly) get promoted by major labels. I am very grateful for labels like T&G, Dischord, etc...

  • @Kenedamick i've been thinkin about trying to start something like this. i was born 5 years after this label was born.

  • @xBillyTheKidx

That's awesome man - do it!

  • @xBillyTheKidx Count me in! I've been trying to get shit like this started for a long time. People round here are just to fucking trendy. Where are you from?

  • @zombiekill551 south florida. right now a town called port saint lucie

  • @xBillyTheKidx I'm from the mid-Atlantic area. North central Maryland. Outskirts of Baltimore. That's weird because I have been contemplating moving down to Florida. If I had to live on the street I know it would be warm. I've heard there's a good rock/punk scene down there.

  • @zombiekill551 it's okay. in some parts it's awesome, but that's not where i live. haha. i don't live in any of the awesome parts.

come to where it's not so awesome, and let's be awesome.

  • @Kenedamick Its not a matter of getting old. Kids today are just pussies. They are to weak to handle this.

  • @zombiekill551 YOU GOT THAT RIGHT

  • @Kenedamick It's not age. Scratch Acid, Austin in the eighties in general, all the Touch and Go bands were the truest expressions of youth culture this world will ever see.

  • Probably the best fucking record label ever.

    Wait, ignore "probably".

  • what about sst and dischord? i reckon those labels are just as good

  • "the dead princess lay screaming and her cunt is ripped" how vulgar, how genius

  • Are you sure this line goes like this? "the dead princess"? [:

  • yes

  • lol yes

  • Saw them in PHX back in 87 maybe, at a tiny place called crash. amazing show. wish i could have been at this as well...they've all aged like fine wine...or cheese or something...

  • Does Todd ever wash his hair?

  • Look, there's Todd Trainer!

  • I saw these guys in 1980's at CBGBs with other bands Big Black, Painted Willie and Sonic Youth.

    Those were the days...

  • I envy you more than I can express.

  • and the Butthole Surfers. The greatest of them all.

  • meh, in my opinion, gibby haynes is overated

  • So is your weird opinion.

  • Holy shit

  • This was the show in the empty lot in front of the Hideout in Chicago. This was the Touch and Go 25th anniversary festival. They closed off the whole lot. 2 stages. Good times.

  • best band ever

  • it says "Austin, TX" but the footage isn't from the Austin show at Emo's. Probably from the Chicago show.

  • Austin is where the band originated, and what the caption refers to.

  • Over 20 years later and they still sound as good as the record. Piss off the the neighbors, blast some Scratch Acid at 3 AM!

  • totally man!

  • I WAS THERE. Rey Washam looked like a teenage surfer.

  • hey, the band deserves some fuckin cred too, they're insane

  • just awsome damnnnnnnnnnnn

  • David Yow is a freaking icon. Can't wait to see him with QUI in a few weeks!

  • "she said, I'm not using my body now, you so you can play with it if you want to."

People who think like that are fuckin genius.

  • that's because most folks wouldnt know good shit if it shit on em.

    fuckin classic ass kickin shit

  • david yow is so fucking sick. the guy is out of his mind, drunk and amazing

  • this is really great!!!!

  • i can't believe no one has commented on this. it's pretty fucking awesome!
