I was lucky enough to see Scratch Acid live several times. When I heard that they were doing a reunion concert, I made my son listen to Scratch Acid for a month just so he'd really appreciate the experience when he saw them. One of the best shows ever.
they're out there, but shitheads in the industry make it very hard to find that's for sure. Rather than supporting a band like Qui they'd much rather support Wolfmother..
I think the majority of people wouldn't really go for this, so it makes sense that bands like Wolfmother (a lot more accessible/ family friendly) get promoted by major labels. I am very grateful for labels like T&G, Dischord, etc...
@xBillyTheKidx Count me in! I've been trying to get shit like this started for a long time. People round here are just to fucking trendy. Where are you from?
@xBillyTheKidx I'm from the mid-Atlantic area. North central Maryland. Outskirts of Baltimore. That's weird because I have been contemplating moving down to Florida. If I had to live on the street I know it would be warm. I've heard there's a good rock/punk scene down there.
@Kenedamick It's not age. Scratch Acid, Austin in the eighties in general, all the Touch and Go bands were the truest expressions of youth culture this world will ever see.
Saw them in PHX back in 87 maybe, at a tiny place called crash. amazing show. wish i could have been at this as well...they've all aged like fine wine...or cheese or something...
This was the show in the empty lot in front of the Hideout in Chicago. This was the Touch and Go 25th anniversary festival. They closed off the whole lot. 2 stages. Good times.
Just got back from seeing scratch acid live in NY, amazing.

it says "Austin, TX" but the footage isn't from the Austin show at Emo's. Probably from the Chicago show.

Austin is where the band originated, and what the caption refers to.
