After reading all of these comments, I feel really bad for not crying. D: I got goosebumps, however. Such a moving scene. I absolutely adore this cast, particularly Adam Kantor, Will Chase and Justin Johnston. Also, Halloween is my favorite RENT song - got soooo pissed when it wasn't in the movie.

His voice was really... I don't know. He sang great, but you could hear his breathing a little more then the others. Like he was spitting out the words. I don't know if that is bad or good.

on the final rent performance the girl who plays maureen was actually crying at this because they had just said goodbye as in to each other but also to the show so she was obviously emotional and then it was a very sad scene

I'd like to say that I love Halloween and I was sooo annoyed that it wasn't in the movie (plus my DVD happens to not have the deleted scenes!) I never saw it on stage... Anyhow, it's always been one thing listening to it on the soundtrack, but it's a complete other to watch him singing it. The little hand movements until "That's pathetic" made me almost smile even after crying during I'll Cover You. And the song is just so raw and truthful and finally shows what Mark is afraid of. Luv it! Thanx!
