Boiling the watr makes it worse!!! It condenses the fluoride molicules and solidifies them!!! Take a pot and boil just water for about 20 - 30 minutes. Then let the water sit in the pot for a few hours. Pour the water out and let the pot dry without washing it. You will be left with a white powder... Take a guess at what the powder is.

i have found info that activated charcoal does not attract many substances including sodium, FLUORIDE, and nitrates. In fact the removal of flurode could be NON. not removed at all. but it removes stuff like pesticides and herbicides, as well as chlorine, benzene, trihalomethane (THM) compounds, radon, solvents and hundreds of other man-made chemicals found in tap water.

Yeah it's even in the water bottles now too, noticed that a while back, it's becoming hard to find non-fluoridated water bottles. Did you know it also does a terrible number on your kidneys, which filter about half of it out of you....if at the hospital dying of kidney failure and they want to save you then you are not given tap water or other fluoridated water because it's a nail in the coffin at that point.

I have been looking into activated charcoal and so far the information I have found suggests that it has a minimal effect in removing fluoride. (It is good at filtering out a lot of other stuff but not fluoride).

I will not disagree that F- might be harmful.

It may even be what is in toothpaste that makes it harmful - but unless the warning says, 'due to fluoride the warning labels on this package should be followed' there is no correlation.

There may be some other ingredient that is harmful. It may also be that the product is simple safer in moderation.

Many bottled waters say: Fluoride <2ppm which is in fact about the rate it would be if they had added fluoride compounds to it. If they don't add fluoride, the natural amounts are so small they don't need to even show 'Fluoride' content on the label. So, only use bottled water that has NO Fluoride on the label, and double check to make sure the company doesn't add it without your knowledge. The best bet is to ring them up and question them directly (anonymously from a payphone of course ;)
