It probably was Richmond as Channel 9 was located there and there are still plenty of streets like that there, though more gentrified now. The suburb was native Australian working class until the 70's when recent migrants moved in, then was totally changed by the post '75 Vietmanese influx
I remember seeing this episode when i was a kid..Jack Fegan performance made me feel so sorry for him..amazing how he was on Homicide then guest starred on Divvie 4...What a golden era of Australian TV..
