  • The "buzz-in" sound was also used earlier on another NBC game show called "Blockbusters".

  • Did they just build the house or did they also pay for the mortgage, land, etc ... anyone know?

  • @coronaoverhere From my recollection from watching it when I was ten, they gave $15,000 for the land, which was inclued in their final winning total.

  • Look at how short the fucking tie is on Steve!!! What a dork!~

  • At least they won the house. :-)

  • A good show, I think could have been better if they stayed with the first format.

  • Was this the only show Bob Eubanks hosted for NBC?

  • no.

  • He also hosted a show in 1979 on NBC called "All Star Secrets".

  • Yes, WDIV aired All Star Secrets which is Eubanks' NBC game show.

  • @nextbarker HE also hosted All Star Secrets in 1979 on NBC

  • When the money machine was introduced, the number of answers for each question were reduced from 3 to 2.

  • If I'm not mistaken, that Go display was the same as the original and the late '70s Newlywed Game, that font numbers type debuted on the same day as Hot Potato(1/23/84).

  • When the money machine was introduces, the scoreboard went from Eggcrate displays to Go displays, although the Eggcrate was still used in the bonus round.

  • this show was fun yet sucked. curse you money machine
