Okay, get a computer, get a tablet, get Pencil(program) and your set.

After that you just get an idea, type it out in a word program, make a basic storyboard. Then animate in Pencil. After that it's refining.

@yourvidisbad101 Nowadays, computer. What they do is they take the "keys" and the script and they send that to South Korea. Once in Seoul, the in between shots are filled in and the whole thing is completed in a matter of 3 weeks or so.

@yourvidisbad101 This sucks!, nobody has given you an answer. There's a good 30 people on average, who learns to draw the different characters of a single cartoon show. This is why, a single minute of animation can actually cost as much as 1 million, and lessor, 100,000. It also all depends on budget and contract. One Million, is for movie animation. But for a series, I would have to guess, 200,000 - 500,000 a year, per animator. Probably, Family Guy costs between 1 and 25 Million per episode.

@yourvidisbad101 If everything was computer generated, it would probably only cost 50,000 each episode, or less. They probably don't always use traditional paper. Computer notepads are more efficient,, besides, there's no clean up marks to clean, when using a computer generated notepad.

Some of that was guesses,, but I have a feeling,, I'm pretty close.

So, basically, what you're saying is: Seth's stolen most of the Simpson's stuff, yet Family Guy is the biggest selling DVD box set of all time.

Yes, a couple of the Family Guy episodes have had similar plots to the Simpsons' stuff, but Seth's gone into plots that Matt Greoning wouldn't dare go into, such as the Weinstein Episode and the FCC episode.

And I've seen that The Simpsons have been occasionally doing the cutaways that FG is doing
