From a video perspective it was cute and campy overall. Cool backdrop of Manhattan. It had to be done in 1985 or 1986. 1980's make-up and hairstyles of the era. The clothes the group wore were bright-coloured but not flashy. The yellow polka-dot plunge-back one-piece swimsuit (or bodysuit?) the synth player wears reminds me of a swimsuit I wore in the 1980’s. One change I would make to the video would be to bring the close-ups of the group in much earlier. Still, it was pretty cool!

The lead singer emulates Madonna but retains her own distinctive signature on the vocals. I think she did a nice job of it. Madonna is a tough act to follow. The synth track is typical mid-'80's analogue. Was the drum track actually recorded in the studio previously by the drummer in the back? If so, that's interesting since Madonna was using Linn drum machine-type tracks starting with Everybody in 1982.
