I said right in the video I AGREE with the demotion of profanity and sexually suggestive content. What I don't agree with is the direction YouTube is heading in - punishing people by demoting their videos. If YouTube can make people's videos virtually disappear because someone says sh*t, it's only a matter of time until more drastic measures are taken.

This is where it will start, but trust me, the restrictions on YouTube and in the online world general are going to be more drastic in the future.
I agree that the rules are reasonable right now, but the point I'm trying to make is that when freedoms are taken away, they're taken away a little at a time, just so slightly that we don't even notice it at first. Then, we eventually wake up, shake our heads and wonder what happened. People willingly accept change if the change is small. Bigger changes are coming in regards to our freedoms on the Internet and beyond.
Well in China they are already censoring what people can do/read on the internet. It's only a matter of time until it trickles down to the USA and the rest of the world.
But YouTube is a global website - it is not limited to democratic or communist countries. What happens when a WEBSITE becomes the governing power in determining what everyone can and cannot see online?
YouTube complies with the demands of China for the chinese version of the site.
There's little chance that this website will become a 'governing power', because it doesn't have anything to do with government - it can not become a governing entity.
Maybe YouTube will not be a governing power in the definition of a government, but even so, when a website like YouTube has such an influence over virtually everyone online, it is imperative that we maintain our rights to freedom of speech on YouTube. Otherwise, we may end up with one-sided views, and YouTube could, in a sense, turn into a "Communist" website eventually.
Ok, let's say Google decided to hail a certian baptist Church leader and adapt it's values according to their minister - and slowly started to ban everything that the baptist would not approve of. The result would be the Baptist version of YouTube. The only problem is that the only remaining members of Youtube would be members of that Baptist Church. lol

YouTube didn't say they would "ban" videos containing sexually suggestive content and profanity, but that it would demote the videos, which is essentially punishing people for expressing their viewpoint (again, I DO agree with the demotion of these two things - it is the principal behind it that I don't agree with). Sure, YouTube will let anyone express their beliefs, it's just that said videos will have so few views and visibility that no one will ever see them.
thats a good vid, i think y youtube is hearding in the direction of "no free speech" is cuz youtube is heading in the NWO direction. the ppl who control the corporation who owns youtube/google are bought and paid for by NWO agendas, and the 1st thing they want to do is limit what ppl can say or do on videos. Well, during the boycott, people just logged off YouTube and didn't use it. I'm sure there's some people that started using an alternate video site altogether though. Unfortunately, I do like YouTube, I just want my voice, and others, to be heard on this issue.

I don't understand your point. Limiting hate speech, for example, is a restriction of free speech. And that's good.
Same goes with the sexual stuff. You've got other websites for that.
In my view of it the only direction they're heading, is keeping it 'family friendly'. That's good.
Besides this is a corporation, therefore if it says saying the F word is wrong, that's the law here.
