@Mikeado66 245 front 335 rear. Either pirelli rosso's or kumho ecsta V70a's - standard factory fit. They came back with sticky tyres after Schumacher did his run in the fxx and it went into the 9's.

@SLaYD666 Why would the shifter be on the right hand side? It must not have very much room to move the stick! Every right hand drive car I've driven have been centre shift, even those with rear engine, such as the GTR. And I have seen centre shift Ultima's before.

In October 2009 Ultima set another time of 1 minute 9.9 seconds, but this time in a configuration not suitable for use on public highways. Ultima have been keen to point out that this time is faster than those set by both the Ferrari FXX and the Caparo T1; of which neither were deemed to be acceptable road cars by the Top Gear presenters shortly after these times were set.
@Sequisso32 Around similar time, but to get an official time the car has to obey the official top gear rules which the Ultima does. The Caparo is too Low and the Renault F1 car isn't road legal.
@kinjat56 Ok, well basicly the Bugatti is far too heavy to set a decent lap + it can only get 0-60 in 2.5 seconds if it has launch control on which you can only do from the start. The Bugatti is not built for racing, it is built to be a luxury tourer and to be fast yet still extremely comfortable and for that purpose it is magnificent, but its not a drivers car. Top speed is not everything, comprende?

Plenty of people have made MORE power with literally half the engine

@NUMBERoneCANIAC As far as I know there aren't any. That's because supercars are tuned to handle well, not get off the line fast. The Veyron get's off the line faster because it's 4WD. The suspension on supercars is usually very stiff and is balanced so that the weight is spread evenly. If you really wanted a supercar that was RWD to be good off the line you'd tune the suspension so that the weight transfers to the rear. Doing this though will completely fuck up the handling, so they don't.

Had a privilege of driving it on Grobnik track in Croatia. It may be the fastest, but it's also the UGLIEST car I've ever seen. It looks like one of those plastic kit cars. Who designed this thing? A drunk autistic babon? The performace is superb, I was screaming like a little girl gripping the steering wheel but overall... You feel like you're griding your ass on the road under you, no elbow space etc. It's horribly uncomfortable. If I could aford one, I'd buy something else. Not this.

the front is about 3 inches off the ground, so its hard to take a speedbump, but a normal road is no problem, racecars are about one inch off the ground.

I don't know if in 2007 they had already tested the Caparo T1, but it did it in 1min and 10.6 seconds.
And they tested a Renault F1 car that did it in 59 seconds, still don't know when did they test it...

The caparo T-1 is no road car. It may be just legal but its not going over any humps and you couldn't really use it on the road.
The FXX isn't even a road car in the legal sense and when it lapped it had slicks and schuey at the wheel.
Either way you could stil argue they were faster but ultima have been back and got a 1:09.9 - look it up on here.

Some form of Chevy V8, provided you don't have your own engine. I think a 377ci V8 is the minium out of two versions.
I don't know much about the car, though.

This is the GTR720 so this particular car was built by Ultima with a GM LS series engine making 720 hp. It's an LS7 i believe.

the front is about 3 inches off the ground, so its hard to take a speedbump, but a normal road is no problem, racecars are about one inch off the ground.
Besides that its possible that its not roadlegal in some countries, but it is in the US and most of europe.

When a car like this is built, it redefines a measure of engineering that the Euro-brain has no ability to understand. The genesis of this car goes back to the formula 5000. It is a descendant of the Mclaren/Chevy.
