most of the are just driving on the grass using a mushroom. The ones that ARE shortcuts are all the N64 shebert land except the ramp jump, the n64 mario raceway one where you turn before the big mushroom. All of the drivin on the grass after the pipe is not a good use of a mushroom.

you go on manual and you have to drift to make a boost i find i easier to hold down b and 2 and move around and when theres a blue engine boost you let go
