This lad is doing really well on OSET and i agree that a petrol bike will have less power! If he carry's on the way he is, he's gonna be a very good rider.. Some people really don't have a clue what their talking about sometimes! Lighten up people the kids doing good!!
Yes, brilliant actually. First time out on a multi-speed bike I said 'her's the clutch, here's the back brake, here's the shift lever' and explained the concept. He had it FIRST TIME. This was on my Beta 250 when he was 7. When he tried a Beta 80 it was the same but better, as the clutch etc was lighter. He already knows the 'riding' part, so the other stuff is easy for him.
Actually, it's the reverse. He has ridden all the petrol mini's, and none have the instant power of his bike. Therefore, he is better prepared, as he has already ridden with major power on his OSET.
There's no need to put him on a petrol bike. We're working on the next size up. We can get more power and less weight than petrol, and he has no desire to change. The reason he's so good is that we've kept him on OSET's. He's ridden all the ptrol options and hasn't asked me for one at all, ever!
The burnout at the end was everythin keep it up kid

Alright Keep Your Hair On !!!!! =P
I believe that they should not let these electric bikes in the engined trials. It's an unfair advantage
