  • Oh wow this is amazing! You've really learned how to use this machine to the best of it's potential. Great job!

  • how do you save one of those as a pattern on there

  • i got some samples the other day but i cant do anything with them because they are all stereo, how could i change them to mono? x

  • @guinguinpenguin use a sound converter. maybe NCH's Switch sound converter

  • @DustBrothers cheers iv done it now :)

  • I've been trying to find out if you can load a sample of say a trumpet and have something like a multipitch function on the SP1200, so you can automatically have a simple scale with which you can play a melody. Or you have to resample to the respective tones in a scale to create one - that would be a great pain though. I downloaded and read the manual but still can't figure it out.

    Thanks!

  • @martin984 you would really need to resample it at each pitch, BUT

you can record the knob positions of the pitch knob using motion sequence - it takes up 1 motion sequence track, but it will let you automate the pitch

  • so good for dance music these boxes.

  • @LifeonBroadcast haha samme (y) what stuff u got atm?

  • You can sequence a synth... But it ain't worth doing that... to just sequence a synth, get a EM, 303 or a dedicated sampler, like Yamaha QY series, Roland MC-50, PMA-5 or something :)

Since you're a DJ, you could use a Roland sampler like the SP-303, 404 or 555! That should rock!!

  • can i use a compact flash card for a smart media card slot

  • you can try... it won't fit.

  • not bad

  • so i just got mine, anndd...

what is the 'bang for buck' mic i can find to record samples? i have an extremely old computer mic which doesn't work with the es-1 but with a microkorg. what should i get?

  • hi

i need a little help: is it possible to hear metronome in Sample mode to do slices resample correctly?

    thanx

  • Yup its possible.

Just make sure that you are in sample mode. Once there, go into the editing matrix and go to Global...switch the metronome to "on".

The metronome will sound according to the BPM you have selected in Pattern mode on the currently selected pattern.

    Slice and resample away...!

  • do you know if there is some software or where i can download the samples

  • thanx but i renenber that it didn't worked like that: i sold it since 3 months.

    peace

  • not bad...i like the lord finesse vocal sample.

Im a dedicated korg es-1 user as well, and i wouldnt trade it for anything.

  • What Eric B & Rakim ?

Nice track could chill on the delay motion but it sounds good.

  • the files i have are in properties:

    bitverwerkingsproces: 512Kbps

Grootte van het geluidsfragment: 16 bit

    Kanalen: 1 (mono)

    Geluidsopnamesnelheid: 32 kHz

    Geluidsindeling: PCM

When i try to load the files i get a Er:07 or something like that on my ES-1 screen

and the origional samples go from 69 to 91 thats also strange i think

  • HELP!

i tried to put wave-samples on my Korg ES-1 MKII

    but i didnt succeed

i put them on the smardmedia card (no map)

    i named the files;

    01

    02

    03

  • make sure the samples are 16bit or 8bit

  • Very cool! Nice samples. Lovin Eric B & Rakim!

  • does this record phrases say from a synth??

  • This song contains many samples and synth sound.

in addition, it composed several variation and changes by ES-1 into the song.

  • "funk so brother"

  • when you by one of these does it come with traks you edit n shiz or do you hav to buy a software for pc ?

  • The ES is a hardware sequencer... It records patterns, songs and motion sequence...

You can plug in some instrument and go sampling... You don't have to use the PC...

But you can... to edit samples and etc.

  • nice track :D

  • Strange beat!!!?

  • It's the 'avoid labels' kind of music, I guess :D

(although it sounds mostly breakbeat to me)

  • I think it sounds more broken beat! :-)
