In my state we have to call the police for a deer strike. It is the drivers option whether or not to keep the deer, but we're supposed to report it. I'm guessing you don't have to do that in your state?

Totaled I guess did sound a bit strong. Basically I meant that to fix the damage cost almost as much as I still owed on the car.
