@TheBenHendrich and everyone else: It doesn't just work right away, you need to add quicksearches to the sites provided in the comments. I'm not entirely sure how to make the quicklinks work right, I'm trying to figure that out :p But there's tutorials for adding quicksearches too. Good luck, I hope you do a better job than me :p

Do you have to have firefox? Do you have to have any ff add-on's? I would prefer not to mess around with the add-ons myself because they always seem to be a pain in the ass, they crash, I always worry about spyware, etc.

You're being too paranoid about the add-ons. The benefits of using Firefox versus a browser like IE are substantial, for instance, the overall speed and efficiency of Firefox. Just scan each add-on download if you're so concerned there might be something there, or just don't dl the plugins :)

Just use "DownloadHelper" from the Mozilla Add-ons page. It's a one click download plugin. This is way too complicated!!!!

You should also know that if you right click any search field in firefox and goto "Add a keyword for this search..." it will automatically allow you to put in a keyword that you will enter in the location bar before any search you may want to do on that site.

Knowing that, you can easily set up these quick keywords on any site that has a search function.

for the IMDB page, you don't have to setup any bookmarks.

Just type the movie title into your google search box and also put imdb anywhere, and hold "alt" while pressing enter (might be another key on other browsers). This gives you the "I feel lucky", wich takes you to the correct imdb page almost always.

maybe you didn't copy the video id correctly.

Sometimes, they have this & simbol at the end, it isn't part of the id.

I had the same problem at the begining. Then i changed the location of the NEW bookmark i created. I created it into the bookmarks folder.

Youtube uses different servers/subdomains for different videos.

So, it doesn't work for Youtube video download anymore. :-(
