BTBAM is one of the most talented metalcore bands out there, i do kinda agree that they're music is a jam session, BUT anyway who says there not talented doesn't know anything about music. I hate bands like emmure that have nothing but breakdowns, it takes away from them and makes them all sound the same and theres no talent in it at all. Parkway drive, unearth, august burns red, miss may i, crimson armada, between the buried and me, all have sick everything, not just breakdowns.

And none of these breakdowns are "brutal." You didn't list ANY of Impending Doom's breakdowns, and I think all will agree they have the most "brutal" breakdowns of any band.

@WillLovesDeathMetal Well, you just said yourself that you think core is a fail genre. It's all just breakdown after breakdown after breakdown. Impending Doom is the least core deathcore/grindcore band out there.. I can actually get into that band. Most core bands are so gay that they call themselves "metal," but don't include any face-melting solos like classic metal did, and they don't include the metal scale (minor pentatonic scale) at all. They use the rock scale in progressions.

I don't listen to just metal, but when a band calls themselves metal but bases their music on rock characteristics, I call it gay. I respect that they work hard to get where they are, I respect that they DO have an extent of talent as musicians, but their music doesn't get my respect. Mallcore is not and never will be amazing. It will always be junk.

The music those guys create and how well they can play it live is literally crazy. I know quite a bit about timing and music in general and so listening to bands like them now is so much more enjoyable for me. Thats just me though.
