  • I have to add my voice to the chorus.

This is not Ninjutsu, or anything even close to a Japanese sword system.

  • Not wushu, and non kenjutsu. A hybrid of both, like the Korean have with Haidong Gumdo. Some cut and stance (blade at the shoulder) remind the japanese stance (doesnt exist in China), but the foot movements looks Tai Chi ... Personnal form ?

  • Bravo come gicoliere.Ma tenere una spada per la lama lo vedo un po assurdo.

  • HA HA HA HA HA HA It's a combination of sword technique and baton twirling!!

    I Smell McDojo!!!

  • This reminds me of how I "fight"....but a HELL of a lot more elegant. It really is beautiful...

  • @vikinglover76 Actually hes completely right. Ninjutsu does not come from China. It is a Japanese martial art. The methods used in Ninjutsu have origins in China though. What is being displayed in this video is not practical and looks nothing like Japanese sword art.

    So this is NOT Ninjutsu.

  • @BlackShinobiShozoku Well, that depends. the twirling motions could be to keep the apponent a good distance away. Thats actualy like saying that true wushu (kung fu) is useless. A good defence is a good offence. And yes, your right ninjutsu is of japanese origins, but its based from Sung Tzu Art Of War. now, regarding this style, I personaly don't kno its origins, but dont ever think just becuase it could be new means its usless. kung fu and taijutsu did help make karrate. just remember that

  • @AmericanSamurai100 No the twirling motion won't keep anyone at a distance. If you want to keep someone at a distance keep your sword infront of you and pointed in your opponents direction. All the twirling motions aren't effective and are just making you susceptible to your enemies attack and makes you more prone to dropping your sword. And Ninjutsu isn't based on "Sun Tzu Art of War" it's based on common war tactics (which is influenced by China) and Japanese philosophy

  • @BlackShinobiShozoku No, thats not true. In wushu sword fighting, they do similar stuff. It keeps your opponent at bay, while blocking at the same time. Keeping your sword in front is like keeping your hand in front of you in Taijutsue. Its for judging distance. Now, if used by an untrained swordsman, your right, its useless. But, if used correctly, useful.

  • @AmericanSamurai100 Actually no it doesn't, when you are spinning the sword you don't have a stable grip. Therefore while in the stress of battle you can either 1)Drop your sword

    2)Injure yourself

3)Get your sword knocked from your hand

And keeping your sword infront of you keeps your opponent at bay. That's the benefit of keeping your weapon between you and your enemy. The Art of War is strategy for military. Ninjutsu is for one man trying to gain entry or intel

  • @BlackShinobiShozoku Not true, if doen correctly. look up Dao Sword . now, granted, you don't want to use a katana like that. They were ment for a direct slash, not spinning. But still useful to practice. And on your "It keeps him at bay," thats false

. its so you can measure the distance better. If he gets too close to your sword, you cut. Actualy, if you read japanese swordfighting books, you relize that being in close is the best place to be.

  • @AmericanSamurai100

Actually yes it does keep them at bay. You are keeping a sword between you and them. And yeah it also helps measure distance as well.

And spinning your sword around is not practical. How is doing something that makes your grip less stable and having your sword spinning around meaning for a split second your sword is facing the opposite direction from your opponent. Albeit there are kamae with sword pointing opposite direction, but it's ready for a cut.

  • @BlackShinobiShozoku And if you look up art of war, he sometimes suggests sabotoge and assasinations. That is warfare, especialy today!! And no, that is not all ninjutsue is. Some street fighting, mostly assasinations, and doing it before the enemy knows your there. That is ninjutsu. get in, get the mission done, get out.

  • @AmericanSamurai100

Ninja jobs were not being assasins, they were intelligence gatherers

  • @BlackShinobiShozoku .and "Art of War" did Influenced it, becuause Sun Tzu inspired other chinese generals. I've read it, and Ninjutsu is more linked to it. And alot of Japanese phylosiphy is based from china, which, in tern is based from India, aswell as Confucius. And, no, not in Japan. Most Japanese warfare is frontal, with a fue outflanking, and 1 sea battle. while ninjutsu is based more on chinese war, like you said. And, its only common now because of printing press. Generals today use it.

  • This looks like Wushu.

  • It's horrific how much time this kata devotes to twirling the sword like a baton. Those aren't cuts or strikes, and the first time the sword makes contact with an opponents weapon, it's going to fly out of your hand. Also, there are no pictures of this "Tengu sword" anywhere online. Please post one, or a video using the actual sword, so we all can see that it actually exists, and that you're not just providing the web with another bullshit katana form.

  • Oh yeah beautiful, what's Form 2? Committing Seppuku..!! Very admirable to follow Ninja Turtles so closely as to learn their deep ages old wisdom.

How many more useless wannabe Ninja's can YouTube handle?

  • guy in chinese outfit with wood japanese sword, thinks he can scam people into thinking this is Japanese by calling it tengu.

What a load fo crap that was.

Maybe he would like to hold the blade on my katana and then continue once its cut his finger to the bone

Why oh why do people like this think they can do any old crap and call it ninjutsu. a very sad case of self egotism.

  • why can't they read the discription : D ?

  • 1. Your wearing a Chinese outfit for a Japanese style

    2. You constantly grab the blade

    3. Any Idiot can spin a piece of wood about

    4. You dont have solid posture

  • This is not ninjutsu. No offense.

  • Who'd have guessed that you could grab a sword on any part of the blade.

    Not me.

  • at 0:26 I thought u were making it look like ur dick ;P

  • there is nothing wrong with wearing a chinese outfit to do a japanese form etc etc but what IS wrong is doing a form which involves what would be grabbing your own blade which this form appears to show. I have trained in ninjutsu and I dont recognise this. My friend, No-one grabs the blade of their own sword in form or battle. Find a better school !

  • @vampcompany Tengu swords.. Quarter blade and 3 quarters handle. :)

  • Besides. Why would a Ninja, which is an art native to Japan be wearing a black Chinese Kung Fu outfit?

  • Ninjutsu? Seriously?! The Ninja were not about fanciful kata my friend. I don't know who taught you this stuff, or if you just made it up, but this has nothing to do with Ninjutsu!

  • wtf is that a ninja or samurai?

  • Where did you learn the stances? Tai Chi?

  • if you try that with a real kitana and judging by the way you held it...your hand would be shredded cheese.....who grabs a sword bye the blade?

  • who taught you this nonsense?

  • *not my account

the blade makes the difference in your technique if you hold your first shinsakuto in your hands you don't even want to spin it (believe me!)

japanese blades not ment to be spinned - most people understand that as they hold their first blade in their hands - the sword is too heavy and you loose every control by spinning and there will be only 1 mistake

the only spin in kenjutsu i know is for putting sword back in saya and even this really is dangerous

    keep it up train hard

  • This is Fantasy Bullshit. Obviously a case of "Naruto" poisoning.

  • @uker23 Wow! And I thought I was ignorant!

  • good joke, want to see you doing this with a life blade :p

  • I mean not to restate rthe obvious but you Do realise you've bene twirling a katana by the middle not the handle, it's obvious by anyone who has handled a bokken, that the part you are grabbing is snot the handle. I'm not hating on you man, i just don't want you to lose fingers if you ever attempt this with a sharpened combat weight, combat steel weapon. Ouch! what if some kid buys a katana and imitates this? then you've maimed someone by this video!

  • @deejin25 It's not a katana. The description states: "Tengu swords are reverse katanas - 2/3 handle and 1/3 blade- and can be used as a short spear."

  • so 1/3 is blade meaning it is more of a curved spear? interesting thats it meant for throwing and maybe joint locking i imagine.

  • Grabbing the katana by the blade might not be a great idea if you like having hands.

  • @deejin25 Theres more to using a sword than just cutting... You can grab a katana by the spine (mune, for all you self righteous assholes) and not cut yourself... it allows for you to put more leverage into a defense, also can be used in joint locks and deflection... any weapon can be used effectively outside its intended use. Take a handgun for example: can also be used as a bludgeoning tool, defense against a knife in hand to hand, also can be used in some joint locks as well. be inventive!

  • @link No need to use profanity. I've handled hundreds of katana, talked to sword dealers, owners of military surplus businesses and who have let me handle captured katana from officers (samurai family) all japanese words are sharp to the hilt, That is a historical, hoplogical fact. Also why do you insult people who research the proper names of artifacts? that's unusual behavior for a master. you grabbed it by the edge, (in you kung fu uniform ROFLMAO)

  • @deejin25 again... Im not the one in the video. I never said I was a master. but I know enough to know how to handle a blade in such a way as to not cut myself no matter where Im holding it... Not all japanese swords are sharpened to the hilt. Majority, yes, but this is something that can be easily changed, and sometimes is. As for handling "100s of katana", if you have, and have even a modicum of skill, you would know what Im saying to be true.

  • @deejin25 as for the self righteous asshole remark, sorry. It wasnt directed at you, but rather the other people who will read this and say, "this guy doesnt even know what the hell its called." Self righteous assholes. Sorry to have offended you.

  • a ninjutsu student/sensei, IN A GOD DAMN KUNG FU UNIFORM?!?! WTF!

  • This is a joke, right??

  • @bushyoucunt No this guy beleives his nonesense, evn invented a fictitious sword to justify his suicidal sword technique. I wonder who cheated this guy of instruction. It's abuse!

  • Comment removed

  • @deejin25 Even the katana had to be invented at some point. Thus by your own logic, the katana is a fictitious sword.

It is also worth noting that the pudao is a bladed weapon similar to this tengu sword.

  • To blayral:

Arrogance only leads to self defeat. Judging from all the comments left on your channel people have a real love for you. Maybe if you spent more time loving what you do and less time hating on other people. You might actually accomplish something special in life rather than spreading ugliness.

Ray thank you for sharing that beautiful form. keep it up

  • thanks for the laugh
