Man... Alexander Xanatos could`ve ended up being one of the greatest villians or heroes of all time. A quarter fairy, taught magic from birth, and born into a family worth billions, with a genius father and mother that own half the world. Too bad we didn`t see anything past season 3. Genetic engineering could do it. Use one of the other Gargoyles as a basis, alter the DNA structure slightly to make them different from the "host", and grow the bodies from scratch. Their bodies most likely won't be like their originals (except possibly Coldstone), but at least they'd have them.

Questions

1. at 1:14 Cold Steel/Brooklyn exclaims "By the dragon your me!" at the sight of his robot body. Does anyone have an idea of what he meant by this? Perhaps the gargoyle religion has a dragon diety.

2. at 1:40 does anyone else think the the practicality Cold Steel would find in an organic body seem like something the censors would have caught?

@JKJ1900 I think I can help with the answer to 1. I do remember in an episode before, I think it was Goliath or Hutson that exclaimed "by the dragon!" But, I do not think it is a sort of religion. If anything, it might be a belief in evolution thing. Gargoyles do have a sort of dragon-like look and maybe they believe they are decendents from dragons. Of course I could be all wrong.

3:17 UNfortunatly i kinda agree with Lago. When i started watching the gargoyles series i was hoping that Brooklyns fighting style would be merely based on quick rapid combos of punches, tailwhips, kicks etc. Instead he mostly uses a slower, dull and simpler wrestlinglike style, based on throws and grasps which usually doesn't really seem to match up with his scrawny physics or work for that matter. (Sigh) Except for that he IS still my fave.

Puck episode are convoluted. That's the whole point, even future tense was convoluted, scary but convoluted. Its a sign of Puck's character, that he enjoys spinning together all this craziness and convolution just for the hell of it. It's an intriguing way of creating comic relief. Whether it is entire episodes like The mirror or this one, or just as an added element like in The Gathering and Future tense, it adds some much needed light-hearted humor in a very dark and seriour show...

It's a shame he and Alex didn't have more "lessons" in Season 3! I don't look at casting credits often, but this series has completely surprised me. I've been watching all of Star Trek TNG through netflix along with gargoyles (until their dvd's cut off) and now picking up here. I've picked up 5 voices from Star Trek. Between this movie and Star Trek, I've looked up more casting credits than ever. Considering I love both series, this has been a nice treat.
