How does one thank a man who does not want to be thanked..How does one admire a man who does not want to be admired. My son is a drummer and has watched every "lick" Mr Peart has ever sticked, over and over. I want to say thank you Mr. Peart for being an inspiration to my son ... I am a single mother so I hope you appreciate what that means.
Wow !!! I don't know that you play drums that well ! And although it's not my music style, but I can recognise your beat is very precise, and that at a quite complicated manoeuvre. Respect, respect !
(CONTINEWED)....nice spelling eh?..f'd it up JUST FOR YOU this time
...more enticing activity than replying to a SEVEN MONTH OLD comment next saturday night.....
snyways , actually wnjoyed your clip, as peart always has been my fav musician , and one of my main 3 drumming inflewinses (lmao...enjoying the spelling errors enough?)..along w/ alex VH, and bonham...
lol....up a bit late w nothing much to do friend?....ever heard of a typo?
and for someone who obviously has good timing, (and u DO play and keep time well), 7 months late is a bit off the metronome, dont ya think?
anyways , if i recall correct , the better half and myself were toking and drinking when we responded, and typing/spelling isnt always up to par when enjoying such....well, hopefuly u find a more enticing activity than replying to a SEVEN MONTH OLD comment
yeah, tom sawyer's hard, innocencefaded2112 (nice name, btw) but the only hard part is the sixteenth notes, which are pretty fast, no doubt about that, but that shouldn't detur you from the song. A couple of hours bangin' it out on a pillow, and you'll be flyin'. Oh, and b8's only sound like shit if you can afford anything else. :p
i take that back, if you could get b8's for free, id take em, but i'd much rather accept some much nicer cymbals, like paragons (which Neil Peart invented and plays, btw)
I am no master drummer I am 17 with a set of brand new pearl exports! B8's sound like Shit! If i were you I would either go Zildjian or Sabian thats the 2 best you can go with in my oppinion for great acoustic and mic up show sound
Man, you are so fuckin' sick on the drums. Why didn't you use the fucking original version of Tom Sawyer though? Ruined the whole damn thing, man. Much respect though. You still kick huge ass regardless, man. Never stop drumming.
nice kit man!!!is that the s&m version of the ecstasy of gold i hear at the start??i love that song!!!and i hate tom sawyer!!!its too hard to play!!!!!:)nah excellent song!love it but prefer limelight and red barchetta...yes because theyre easier to play!?!
Nice, I was going to get a pearl masters kit with 4 toms and about 5 paiste cymbals but my friend sold it before I could get the money to buy it off him.
Have you ever seen Rush play? Or Va drum? You can't think that is the biggest kit you've ever seen? Nice kit though illcitstill! But I've seen bigger!
verrry nice job. the professor would be pleased. i have to take one star away for the poor audio quality. all the money you have invested in the kit, you should mike it better than this. excellent job, though. 4 out of 5.
Good job man. Playing Neil Peart's songs is not easy, especially a song like Tom Sawyer that requires special coordination, control and those fills.. man... How long did it take you to learn how to play it? .. good job man...
Most percussionists go along with the flow and rhythm of the music, but not so in the case of Rush and Neil Peart. At times he (Peart) almost seems to go against the flow and rhythm of the music which makes his style of play incredibly difficult. You did a fabulous job and I like your kitty.
DOOD.I hope your in a band and not waistin that xtreem talent just for youtube and ur kitty.. KEEP ON ROCKIN DOOD. 5stars, 2thumbs up, 10 out 10, 100% :-)
Question: Are you using a DTXtreme module? Because those look like Yamaha pads around your ride cymbal. It's very Akira Jimbo, and I tried to replicate it, but I need to get those little pads. The big ones that come with the kit mistrigger no matter where I put the individual sensitivity settings (Or they have to be hammered to be triggered, i'm sure you dig). Please tell me how you work with those, I would greatly appreciate it.
It's a Roland TD7 kit with the expansion pack (aka all triggers). I used to only play this kit, however I went back to acoustic years later and use them for special effects mostly now.
As for triggers/sensitivity levels, these have been very nice in that regard. I never had any problems on that front or with chokes (triggers mapped to cymbals).
yea ur snare kinda sounds like shit but ur amazing with the solo i personally cant get through that song without carpotunnel but im 15 and for the person below yea they only made 30 of the neil peart customs so they prolly tons of money. i love how the dog runs by in the middle of ur recording lol
From one drummer/musician to another .. very nice man solid .. i am a huuge rush fan .!!! Great dude ..rock on bro .. as you know neil is not an easy drummer to cover .. and you were solid bro .!! his timings and chops are sick .. KeEP JAMIN
lol! white version of carter beauford. That is funny, because its true. I'd say i wish i had half the skill you do, but i am exactly at HALF the skill you are....I'm halfway there....maybe in another 6 years lol! good job man
That performance of Tom Sawyer was absolutely god-like. People like you inspire me to keep playing because it shows that its not impossible to drum like Neil Peart.
I love you...... in a platonic way of coure and man wow. Shit that is a work out! You're really good. I like to see you do "Subdivisions" and probaly "Test for Echo".
