get the cell pearl i dont throw pearl balls that much but with my low rev they preserve energy longer for and carry well i love my virtual gravity and i have a triple xfactor i throw storm but if i had to get a new ball i would get this one or the virtual energy storm and roto grip are gonna dominate for years to come nothing dies like a hammer but nothing hits like a storm

The Cell is great for hook. The Cell Pearl hits like a damn semi-truck. The Rogue Cell is a little of both. I'm a stroker with only a 15mph speed. I love the Cell Pearl the best.pin to pap 4 1/2 over 1/8. The sucker kills the pins.

The cell pearl bites! RotoGrip! I am a Hammer widow fan but the cell bites when you crank it. Best ball of 2008 and the Rogue Cell is not far behind. Kick the ball if righty between middle and second arrow and watch the action.

Indeed you are 100% correct. This thing is the perfect partner for my Cell, especially on wetter lanes. It hardly leaves any stone pins by comparison, and it quite often hits ten pins back into the pit, but if it doesn't then there is always a few messengers flying around!

I just moved down to 14. I used to throw 16, moved down to 15 and now I am drilling up 14s. Hopefully it wasn't a mistake. To be honest, I don't feel much of a difference in the ball weights. The main thing is that there is less stress on my arm now.

Back to the topic at hand. The cell pearl looks sweet. I might need to pick it up.

the only problem I could see with going down to 14 is the weight won't be enough to carry the rev's that a heavier ball would. But if it does stress your arm its probably for the best

I'm not a high rev player at the moment. I was working on my release NYE and I'm pretty sure I sprained my ring finger. I was rolling 15 without a problem, but I think I bowled too much during that week. One month out and I still haven't even tried picking up a bowling ball.

No move to 15. 16 sucks. Most balls characteristics are maxed out at 15 and at 16 you get diminishing returns.

the cell original is better for heavily oiled lanes. the cell pearl is better for medium-heavy oiled lanes.

Cell pearl is better for when you have sport shots and are nearing the end of them. Cell is good for heavy oil and probably your house shot.

pearlized balls actually push down the lane longer before making their breakpoint, that is the point getting a pearlized ball. The Rotogrip Cell is designed for heavier patterns. The Cell Pearl is like the Cell, only difference is that the Pearl has more length with a more angular backend reaction.

your comment couldnt be more backwards. pearlized bowling balls are made to be a "go to" ball when the area youre playing dries up. they get thru the heads alot cleaner and store more energy for the backend of the lane, thus going longer before making a move and storing energy to carry the corners. robr2004 is correct on the ball review.

I have two Cells, and I'm wondering if I need a Cell Pearl. From what I see from the video, the Pearl has a longer carry distance before breaking to the pocket. Is this correct? Is the coverstock just at a finer grit than the Cell, hence the Pearl classification? Or is there more to this ball when compared to the Cell? Thanks!

The difference in grit is 1500 as apposed to 2000 which is what the original cell has. The "pearl" classification is because it has a pearlized additive to the coverstock. Pearlized balls tend to have more length because they slide through the oil. The nucleus core is what both the cell and pearl have. The core itself is what makes that ball have such a high success rate. The pearl cover just gives more length opposed to the early rolling cell. Both AMAZING balls in my opinion
