  • It's one of my modest dreams to be able to view this ballet. I find the representation of snowflakes very expressive and charming. A play without words, only through the Dancing fascinating to me. This is one of my dreams. This is simply magical. It is hard work but also for the dancers. Thank you for this wonderful video. Gabriele!

  • beautiful song and dance :) this's my favourite part <3

  • @ancsarose Me too! :)

  • BOLGE!!!!!

    (-.-)

  • Das ist wunderschön. Da würde ich einmal hinfliegen wollen. Das Tanzen ist eine harte Arbeit... Ich bewundere die Grazie! Allein durch das Tanzen kann man so viel ausdrücken. Danke! Frohes und gesundes Weihnachtsfest.

  • @Lavendel59

Thanks so much for this share.. It's wonderful and I enjoyed it. I love the music from the composer Tchaikovsky. And this ballet is so beautiful. Dearest greetings. Merry Christmas.

  • What ballet company is this? You should probably edit your info to include this information

  • can you please allow embedding for this video, thank you.

  • Truly Sweet and a Classic.

  • 4:44... ouch!

  • I am a 31 year old man. I love guns, sports, video games, computers, heavy metal, etc. etc.

I hate chick flicks and don't really like ballet.

But the Waltz of the Snowflakes is probably one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.

Watching the gracefulness of the young girls and listening to the girl choir, it is almost like I enter a dream state when I watch it.

Believe it or not some of us ugly men are able to see beauty too.

    Hopefully that doesn't sound weird.

  • @karozans "Watching the gracefulness of the young girls " May be one of the worst things for a man over 20 could ever say. So yes it does sound weird. Just saying.

  • @karozans just saying :young girls" makes me not wanna be within 30 feet of you.....sorry i just feel that way

  • @MissSingergirl11

"Young" is a relative term you dork.

My dad is 73 and he refers to women in their 50s as "young girls".

I call my 10 year old nieces "young girls", that doesn't mean I want to be a kid toucher.

I am 31 and I wouldn't even consider dating a girl under the age of about 24.

    They just aren't mature enough.

  • @karozans Your 31 so you should be mature enough to know that calling someone dork is NOT very mature. Yes, yes you can call your 10 year old neices young girl i dont care. I didnt say you would date someone under 24.

  • @MissSingergirl11

Hey, be happy that I am mature enough that I didn't cuss you out 10 ways to Sunday.

When people make insinuations that I am a pervert or a weirdo that likes kids, that doesn't make me very happy.

You can voice you opinions all you want but when you make the statement that you wouldn't feel safe if you were 30 feet next to me that is a direct insult to me.

  • @karozans I knew you didnt mean that. And i said saying that makes me not want to be 3=within 30 feet of you i knew what you meant if i was actually that close to you i wouldnt be stupid enough to think that just because of some youtube comment that you are a pervert.

And yes I am happy the you didn't cuss at me, so thank you fot that because alot *sight* ALOT of people do that.

  • @karozans *Sigh* alright alright Im sorry for tating my opinion

  • @MissSingergirl11

    As a side note.

In my home town a "young" girl accused her step dad of molesting her when she was 14.

He was sentenced to 35 years in prison because she was under age 16.

He committed suicide 3 weeks after he was sentenced in prison.

A week after he committed suicide the girl came out and told everyone that she made it up.

In my opinion that girl is guilty of murder.

Be very careful with the things you say.

  • @karozans Oh, goodness.

I would never accuse someone of something so serious as that.

Personally i think she is guilty of murder too.

I know what happens to people who molest people so i would never falsely accuse someone of that.

God when I hear something like that I think "Why in gods green earth would someone even think of doing something like that.

    Thats just horrible.

  • @MissSingergirl11

    No worries.

Just be careful how you phrase things in the future.

There are some people in this world that would love nothing more than to see an ugly man like me get a 40 year prison sentence for looking cross-eyed at a girl.

My brother's friend was arrested for public urination.

While urinating in public is gross, he now has to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Now he is treated like one of the those REALLY creepy guys.

  • I've been in this performance 7 times in the choir singing

  • @awesomeperson1313 The vocals complements the music perfectly! :)

  • Perfection.

  • flautists must love this piece--they get to shine as flutes and picollos in this challenging music. I imagine the flute score must look like swarming bees of notes.

  • @windstorm1000 i play the flute and i have always wanted to play this!! mostly because im a dancer and im in love with this music!!! <3

  • how do they get soooo syncronized?

  • @lacedesign968 its hard to be synchronised at the beginning but its after of hard work and feeling the music! Sometimes it just comes naturally alot

  • Amazing!

  • the corps de ballet at its very best. :)

  • im a snowflake this year (:

  • Thank you Barbie.

Without you i would probably never know of this composition.Or the Sugar Fairy plum.

Now they are one of my favorites :)

  • @IdLie32 Congrats! Our class is snow this year too (:

  • I'm the Snow Queen in my studio's production of the Nutcracker this year!

  • This was my favorite scene because my friends were in this number and I was Clara, rehersal was the best! <3

  • Kind of reminds me of Avatar the movie. :) <3

  • @BalletBeauty901 its actually kinda sad that you're rlating classical ballet and beutiful music to a contemporary movie that is actually an copied theme and nobody will remember in a few years... think about that- just sayin:)

  • @6523GgPpKk You have a point. :) Thanks. But don't get me wrong..i love ballet soo much! (:

  • This is my favorite classical music piece. Its so magical.

  • @windstorm1000 I agree! so beautiful! It just soothes your soul or something!

  • Comment removed

  • at my schools production we actually have snow falling in this scene

  • I am performing this dance in Summer!

  • Man the choir made me cry =´´))

Why isn't this freakin tune in the Nutcracker Suite?

  • THAT MAN IS PACKIN'!!!!!

  • oh my, these grand jetes? that must have been a noise

  • Don't know much about ballet, but it's beautiful!

  • @HeidiTroost I love it so much!

  • I wonder if any of the other snowflakes have ever been tempted to trip the lead. I know it goes through their minds :)

  • @TheNuharoo Hahah funny! Ever been tempted to trip a waiter at a restraunt?

  • absolutley beautiful.....makes me wish i had carried on my ballet as a child :/

  • wundervol :))

  • I would kill to be clara.......

  • @frenchhornrocks17 Same here! Did you know that The Nutcracker Ballet was based off of a German Fairy Tale?

  • o my gosh they r all so in sync and there 'togetherness' is amazing!!!!!!!!!!! it was BEAUTIFUL xoxo

  • beautiful post ...we went to see The Nutcracker this week and was inspired to do a tribute

  • omg this song is so awesome

  • @mumboclaire i know right!

  • I love the song!

  • i was in that! (only for one season though, the rest of the times i was in it, i sang!)

  • my dream is to dance in this number *_*

  • I do not like tutus and wigs in this and the balls hanging from their arms. I see white dresses and NO wigs... not my style

  • @dancer04105 ya, those arm thingies are bothering me a lot.

  • Which company did this, it is one of the best ove seen !! :)

  • My ballet teacher is in there.

  • I enjoy watching male's mallet pants at all times . :))) while enjoying the ballet itself

  • One year when my ballet company did snow there was a "blizzard" because of the snowflakes. lol :)

  • @balletgrl15 really? my studio does the blizzard too!! funny....

  • @balletgrl15 We did something like that last year right at 1:59 til 3:58 where we picked up the tempo of the steps we began to swirl around the Snow Queen and unfurl out.

  • I cut my teeth on the NYC Ballet version of this, so it's always wonderful to see other versions, one's that incorporate Clara and the Prince, or have a Snowflake King and Queen, or just different choreography altogether.

  • aww beautiful!! wish I could do that!

  • I made snow this year in Nutcracker!! :D

  • I LOVE the snowflake part lol they have the best costumes

  • i have to dance to this for my concert this year on pointe. very hard but very beautiful!

  • *sigh* I love ballet. It's so beautiful. But the thing that really gets me ticked off is that EVERY time Barbie (the dolls) needs business, they take a holiday themed ballet and make it crappy by making it AGAIN in a movie with animated Barbie characters. I know they might be trying to get kids to appreciate the arts n' stuff, but i mean, gimme a break. They just screw up perfectly beautiful acts. *sigh* God........

PS I LOVE THE NUTCRACKER! It's amazing.

  • i agree! the ballet is beautiful and barbie just HAS to screw it up by adding random people and a totally different plot

  • i know!!! Barbie screws everything up these days. lol

  • @97sweeney10 even though the original choreography and story for the nutcracker was truly amazing and better than barbie, barbie did NOT screw it up. My lil sis only understood the Barbie version until we performed the nutcracker with our ballet school.

  • @97sweeney10 Actually it is very good for being cartoons!

  • I know!!! Like Barbie did one year Swan Lake and it was horrible. I just hate when they make a beautiful ballet stupid.

  • @97sweeney10 : I know, right? I'm waiting for them to come out with "Barbie in the Rite of Spring". Watch her dance to death so Spring will come! Dude, I'd actually pay to see that.

  • It's so beautiful, watching the dancers just glide across the stage. They must have worked so hard to perfect this! I enjoyed this a lot, thankyou for the upload :)

Tchaikovsky has composed such wonderful music. Waltz of the Snowflakes it my favourite!

  • I love this track.. it is my favorite!!!

  • tchaikovski is a genius. what a music.

they, aoverall with the stage look somehow magical , surreal

  • they are perfectly together on the promenades. gorgeous.

  • Oh my gosh! This is absolutely amazing!

  • Who are clara and prince? At first glance, I thought they were Maxim and Irina from ABT, but I have no idea now......HELP!

  • there amazing and i love the costumes with the stuff hanging down... the 2 girls in the middle at the begging were amazing

  • what company is this?

  • Its the Kirov Ballet.

  • I know this is a dumb question, but I've forgotten where kirov is....... could you remind me? :P

  • St. Petersburg Russia. (: x
