  • Anyone who is using artificial protein isolates or roids is not considered a REAL athlete. Only those who eat naturally will retain their physique when they are older. That's why most of the comments here about form come from the people who go into the gym doing preacher curls with the same weight they did last year. And if you don't believe the science behind it, just take Arnold's word for it. In his bodybuilding encyclopedia you'll find he used cheat curls extensively.

But one - real men don't have to be the gym...I have weights at home and I am in a pretty decent shape, I use my extra time saved on not going to gym and working out for 2 hrs to be outside playing, or in bed making love....that's where real men belong.   • Brutal technique! The first 90 degrees of elbow flexion is accomplished by swinging the 185 pds. He actually only curls the weight about 25 degrees. Bottom line there is alot of core muscle getting that 185 up there. Kids do not try this at home it will just lead to injury, no question.

  • cheat curl builds mass on the biceps, while preacher curls define and develope the mass on the biceps. So hes basically doing a cheat curl.

  • Note that even though he's swaying a lot, he's not using his shoulders to curl (meaning, the humerus remains fixed). So, its a way to overload the biceps with a weights that would not be possible otherwise; a sort of "compound" movement for bi's.

    strict form has its place, as does this.
