Yeah 4everUSNAVY is right. We were never trying to invade North Vietnam. There was a pact between the US, China and Russia to maintain the border between both sides to avoid a war like the Korean war and to give both sides an equal chance to seize the area in case of WW3. Since the Indo-China region is an important strategic supply and control point (especially in WW2) both sides wanted a equal platform for WW3. that's why you always seen patrols in Vietnam and not frontline forces.

Make sure you meet the PFT requirements. I think you need a 255 or higher if you are enlisted. Officer needs like 275 or 285. A perfect PFT (300) is 18 min 3 mile run, 100 situps in 2 minutes, and 20 pullups in 2 minutes.

And yes, Force Recon, Force Battalion, and Seals are all apart of MARSOC.

Im a Marine, 275 is the minimum for enlisted PFT Score Officer is 285. The Scores he posted are correct but force Recon, Division Recon and The NAVY SEALs are NOT part of MARSOC.

Um, no. He's not wrong. The US combined arms training facilities are the world's best and provides it's most realistic training. There may be a handful of European and some commonwealth who on an individual, man to man level may be more proficient, but none know how to operate more methodically as a team (combining all aspects of modern war) as the US Army. The army created a brand new COIN doctrine from scratch, something no other army has done in the past 40 years.
