Donald Harrison, of Aeoline-Skinner, designed the instrument of instruments for the Tabernacle in the 50s. Schreiner was the man who put the Tabernacle choir and it's organ on the map. Saddly, the Mornon Church has totally dismissed his accomplishments. They've never reproduced 1 of his recordings to CD or DVD.
@lithwl As an organist and organ tuner, I was surprised to learn thathe cylindrical metal pipes are WOOD! made to look like typical metal pipes and covered in gold leaf. 11(?) of them speak I recall. Most pipes are not displayed simply because they are smaller and less impressive - though there are some organs which have them all visible - like the Air Force Protestant Cadet Chapel Holtkamp/Moller organ. One organ even has glass or plexiglas swell shades.

And their costumes are quite fancy and expensive, as are the statues and all the other relics.
And, as a firefighter/EMS, I like to play with fire and fragrant smoke, and just love the graphic bloody portrayals of bleeding wounds, and hearts cut out and put on morbidisplay.
yes they are quite graphic but do you have to put it that way, most of the real hearts in churches are parts of saints they are called relics a part of the saints and holy peoples of the past, they way you put it makes it sound like you are playing mortal kombat or something, and the rituals have a reason not just for ritual sake but for the greater glory of God and are used as a reminder for the people in attendance of what Jesus did for us, or the respect we have for him.

I was surprised to learn that they are not metal but wood made round to resemble metal pipes.
The Moron Tabernacle organ played by Alexander Schreiner inspired me to become an organist.
When I examined the LDS cult, because of my wonderful LDS girlfriend, I learned the religion is all lies and myth.
ALL religions are man-made myth.
Smart LDS members are leaving the myth.
