Voice is recorded, doesn't really seem to match.

Movements are slow, not fluid enough.

Cheeks don't move with the facial expressions, makes it look fairly fake.

Probably can't walk or any of that.

These are the flaws I notice, and beyond this, it seems pretty much perfect. Not bad.

I saw this bot two weeks ago at the Japan Day festival in NYC. It was good in terms of expression, and was able to respond to questions, I assume based on a keyword type of response. Tolerance wasn't perfect, but wasn't terrible either. A robot doesn't actually need to be able to "learn", for the most part, and except within fairly narrow parameters it might not even be very useful.

I would say it's better than animatronics, in fact it's quite like advanced CGI these days. Even with animatronics you can clearly see the seams of things such as jaws n such. This stuff is fascinating.

Software is a completely different subject. I believe that once the motor functions are more refined (ability to use hands for something as delicate and precise as decorating a cake) and the entire skeleton is self-balancing like the Asimo, programs can be written for the android to function. While it would never be self-aware, it could at least learn to imitate movements if it had capture software that could analyze a human's motions in order to mimc them.
