Johnny is doing this one about a half step to a full step down treaty4. No sin though. He still has a beautiful voice. jsbach15, it is not a trick to still go that high at an advanced age. I am 51 and singing as high or higher than i ever sang. You just take care of the tool and it'll keep going.

Wow, I happen to be thinking of Johnny and the Brooklyn Bridge ... oh, the memories!! I always felt his voice was THE best and still is! Does this group ever come to OHIO??
Damn, what a voice! Clear, not strained, even vibrato, passionate. What more can one say of Johnny Maestro. I've noticed, no matter what the venue, Grand Halls to parking lots, Sir Maestro and those talents that surround him, give one heck of a performance. Bravo!
smokeysport: I agree. Maestro is a wonderful example of a great singer who has been singing beautifully for many years. He has a voice that touches the heart.
Johnny's Angels are a group of gals who are a part of JohnnyMaestroFans, which can be found at yahoo. Everyone's welcome to check out our site. Lots of discussions about the man and his music, and we have hundreds of photos posted. Topaz Angel
Saw and heard Johnny and the Brooklyn Bridge at Bill Griffith's Castaways on Arnold St. off Bessemer Ave. in Greensboro, NC in 1969 or 70. A 10-piece band on that small stage, wall-to-wall people in audience, his tenor vocals and the horns and bass and keyboards on "Worst That Could Happen", it was awesome, none finer. A rare privilege to behold!
I saw them In 1969 three different times ! I remember Johnny used to introduce one of the songs they did as a song that had made it ,,,a song by gary union and the puckett Gap ...he was trying to be funny and make fun of Gary Puckett...nothing huge , but you had to be there...I was
awesomee just keep comin back to hear the best bel canto voice in doowop and rock n roll and to mike yes johnnys still touring and still wowin every audience as he always did
Today Is Feb 2nd,2008. Toomorrow is the superbowl. Patriots vs Giants ...Now you have a place in time . Can anyone tell me some up to date info on Johnny and perhaps a web site to check if he is still touring ? Thanks Mike
Johnny is still touring--he talks about retiring, but is booked well into 2008. Go to Google and type "Johnny Maestro" in the search box (use the quotation marks). The first listing is for his official website, which has up-to-date tour dates.
The Brooklyn Bridge formed in 1969, Johnny Maestro, the Del Satins, Les Cauchi, Fred Ferrara, Mike Gregorio 6 kids from Hicksville High Long Island (NY), Tommy Sullivan, Carolyn Wood, Jimmy Rosica, Artie Cantanzariti, Joe Ruvio, Shelley Davis, and Rich Macioce a friend of the Hicksville 6. The Worst That Could Happen was #1. The group was on Ed Sullivan (Dec 69). Carolyn Wood played keyboard by memorizing the chords. Sullivan is still doing things with Maestro. Rosica still travels with Maestro
Thanks for that info, Always loved Johnny Maestro from back in the days from the racially integrated group the Crests, loved the Angels listened in and those gems, then in 1969 with Brooklyn Bridge, he is still great in 2007.
Just a slight tweaking with the dates: The Brooklyn Bridge actually formed in April 1968, and they appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show on Dec. 15, 1968. "The Worst That Could Happen" was released in Nov. 1968 and first charted on Billboard's Hot 100 on Dec. 21, 1968 and went to #3.
The drummers name is Lou Agiesta and he is my current drum teacher and after hearing the music they play i have fell in love with the music from there era i actually saw them over the summer in concert and he can still belt out those high notes
i just have to keep coming back to see the legend that is johnny maestro a stone ground lead singer no one finer in my opinion long may he continue to thrill and entertain
It warms my heart to know that Johnny Maestro has so many devoted fans. Thanks to everyone who shares their videos of Johnny on YouTube. Watching Johnny sing, and listening to that magnificent voice, is better than any other form of entertainment.

Voices like this just don't happen these days. Maestro really was the teacher. The man was a singing machine. What a voice he has.

His voice has been excellent for I think four decades now? No one can touch Maestro for keeping his artistry alive for that long.
