Your whole tribute was more than fine to me, but the ending scene was, how could I put this, not right. I would more of imagined the last scene being Otacon and Snake in their hug. Snake about to suicide himself just looks wrong to me. That's just a personal opinion, you do whatever you want out of it (Yup, you can even delete it if you dislike it)!
This isn't a canon couple but it's quite popular to imagine these together since they have contrasting personalities which usually leads to good chemistry.
