This is an effective trailer, especially since "Eye Of The Tiger" is not used here. Also, it's a bit startling to see the change in Stallone's body physique between the second and third film. He looks more like a bodybuilder from this point on.

If I had been old enough to have seen the trailer for this in 1982, I probably would've JIZZED IN MY PANTS! LOL...no internet, no spoilers...it would've come as a semi-shock, yeah...being one of my five all-time favorite movies, I would've lost my mind seeing a new Rocky coming out. Kinda like I got crazy excited over Rocky Balboa. And thank God that one removed Rocky V from my memory

Drago was also an awesome villian for being robotic & not trash talking. Dolph Lundren said this was the approach he went with because Apollo & Clubber were very out spoken. Mr. T made Rocky III great. Rocky & he would never end up respecting one another. I thought it was a great plot twist to have Apollo train & become Rockys friend. Although Apollo requested a rematch & went after Rocky in public, I always felt he respected him. Sly gave Rocky II a 7 out of 10. I give II & III a 9 out of 10.

Stallone has said he didn't like Rocky 2 all that much. This is by far my favorite Rocky (not counting the first), Clubber Lang was an awesome trash talker, it made the movie entertaining. You can see they both hate each other. Drago was too robotic so it was more like Rocky vs the Robot in Rocky 4.

How can anyone not enjoy Rocky III. I consider it one of the best sequels ever made. You have to give III credit because II was very good, & the series could have gone down hill at this point. I thought Stallone was smart by changing the direction of the series at this point.

I think this might just be the best rocky. The storyline is great, is rocky a fake? Clubber was the perfect heel, he was tough and could talk shit. Plus with Mick dying, it adds to the emotion state of Rocky. Plus Apollo making the babyface turn was great. Love this movie.
