Anything has its positive effects, but extreme forms of psychological and physiological fear are not nearly the best answers. Why not utilize the more passive form of 'fear' (i.e. the minor amount of terrorists even existing), which gets created as result of providing for most needs of people through technology and holistic education?
I am not an advocate of torture by any means. However, i am curious as to what forms of holistic education and passive fear that you can use in which will not provide fake information. I do not believe that torture will always result in fake information, regardless of how I feel about it. One thing is for sure, scaring the hell out of someone passively or directly in effect is just the same thing.
I didn't communicate the idea properly. I like to think every word has a level to it. I fear a world that accepts torture, is what I was getting at; and I defined that as a more passive form of fear, which is just my own thing and could easily be reoriented to sound different with language.
Also, it's not just about education, but about resources (which could be anything, including education), which I also previously brought to the table. The main thing is just getting out of people's business, anyway. Obviously I'm just a guy behind a computer with no intensive input from relevant areas of the world about which I am talking. I am not an advocate of torture by any means. However, i am curious as to what forms of holistic education and passive fear that you can use in which will not provide fake information. I do not believe that torture will always result in fake information, regardless of how I feel about it. One thing is for sure, scaring the hell out of someone passively or directly in effect is just the same thing.

I didn't communicate the idea properly. I like to think every word has a level to it. I fear a world that accepts torture, is what I was getting at; and I defined that as a more passive form of fear, which is just my own thing and could easily be reoriented to sound different with language.

Also, it's not just about education, but about resources (which could be anything, including education), which I also previously brought to the table. The main thing is just getting out of people's business, anyway. Obviously I'm just a guy behind a computer with no intensive input from relevant areas of the world about which I am talking. But, people just need to get their own consciences back that were stolen by ruling classes/societies.

Are places like Iceland having to constantly defend attacks? No. Why? Because they don't have troops in 120 countries around the world. They don't drop bombs on innocent people. I really wish Ron Paul would leave his lost party (for GOOD this time) & begin to unite "liberal-tarians" across the country. Yes, there IS a good deal of common ground between progressives & libertarians - foreign policy, MIC waste, war on drugs, individual rights, etc. Sure, there are some big differences, but our country does NOT need a return to "mainstream" (GOP / REP) conservative. That would be a HUGE step backwards! "TeaBagger" = "mainstream" (back to square 1) UNLESS he bolts.

I think the reason why Ron ran under a Rep ticket was because he would have gotten more votes that way, rather than running as a 3rd party candidate. The problem is, there are still too many people stuck on the 2 party system. If people could just understand that the whole Rep/Dem thing is nothing more than BS. They stick with what is popular so they can get your vote and screw you.

We know what the perceived pros & cons are to staying Rep/Dem vs. BOLTING. I maintain that in the age of the INTERNET & with the media spotlight on him (UNLIKE it was during his 3rd party run in 1988, & more so NOW post election than during the 2007-08 primaries), that now is the time. A BOLD move by Paul could be many times bigger than what Perot & many others tried. Also, Paul is actually appealing & qualified, unlike Perot, who couldn't even handle the smallest amount of political heat.
