Why does the contrast and color change with the adapter on at 3:10 in the video? Is the glass so poor quality?

Canon lenses are more vivid but after closely looking at the poor youtube quality, i found the white to be whiter and the black to be blacker. If anything, the image is much better.

I don't agree with the comment. The contrast is different but not always better. Look at the whites and some are hiting about 100ire. The color cast changes and there is more detail int he shadows but that's maybe because of the change in image brightness.

cuz without the addapter light only goes through your camcorders lens... with the addapter attached light goes through your 35mm lens, the screen in the addapter + your camcorders lense - ofc the image changes if you compare the 2 shots...
