This phone is the best, but the biggest down side is its battery life. This thing will die on you in about 14 hours.... Even if you dont use it for anything. So everyone be warned, BATTERY LIFE SUCKS!

@jnseabolt Probably. Also depends on what you are using it for. Video watching, turn-by-turn navigation, gaming and such will shorten the run time by quite a bit.

@partymanlittle The Android version on this phone supports Google Talk video calling, but this phone doesn't yet support it. Hopefully we will see an update in the future that adds this feature.

i have a droid (well, a milestone)... and i have to say that it is very well made, and the physical keyboard is nice... but, my next phone is going to be an iphone... first of all, the bootloader on the milestone is locked, so it is incredibly hard to upgrade the software to custom roms... i have managed to install cyanogenmod, but even then, android is just not as POLISHED as ios.... so, that's me all androided out for another couple of years :)

Motorola + phone crashed = not surprised.

Which is the reason my next phone upgrade will not be a Motorola. I like Android, but after owning an original Droid and now a Droid X (both stock) and having them reboot at random times, lose wi-fi and cell signal for no reason, and have bluetooth die if a even get close to a wi-fi access point. I have to say enough is enough. I'll be looking at HTC or Samsung this fall when I upgrade.

@andreo this happens with android and ios. wp7 not so much. the brand ive had the most success with android wise is htc with the rebooting problem. however the text message app will force close alot. which is why i use handcent now.

@hahny27 Handcent would work for me. I was using it on my original Droid, but it seemed to cause issues. I switched to Chomp. I would have no problems switching back.

I gave some serious thought to WP7. The Mango update seems like it will add a ton of features. But I'm liking the integration that Google has with Android. I'm sure I will check out what WP7 has for apps and see if I can transition over. But I think some of the features I want in my next phone won't be there with a WP7 handset.

I used the DROID3 for the past week.....I get about 4-5 reboots a day. Camera app takes about 5 seconds to open and the phone lags. No dual core phone should lag. Also, battery life is similar to my HTC ThunderBolt. I'm returning my phone today.
