Maybe back in June you siad these things, but if the bill would have been passed with the option there...which is the reason you voted it down. Why have you had time to tweet and comment about Arizona's laws but you left a veteran trying to get his Korean war beneifts out to dry. Then you had your staff call my family and threaten them. This calls for an immeadiate Federal Inquiry and subject letters have been accordingly filed with the Senate Judiciary Commitee!

Schumer's contradicting himself: "[The public option] doesn't have to make a profit or merchandise as much, so its costs are probably 20% lower. But then, on a level playing field, it competes with private insurance." How does 20% lower costs equal a level playing field?!

Because government's 'competing with private insurance' isn't the same sort of competition as a for-profit business, which needs to spend money on marketing and advertising. A medicare-type plan doesn't need to sell itself.

The point is a government plan is not on a level playing field if it doesn't have the same liabilities and costs that a private company has. It's not fair! It is a trojan horse to replace our free system with a single payer, government conrolled, rationed system.
