Interesting picture at 0:34 with someone guy on violin!, two bass players! and three guitars. I wonder who these musicians were and what this constellation would have sounded like?
My father raised me on Elvis . He always had me sing to him as a child, Elvis will forever be synonymous with my wonderful childhood. R.I.P. DAD and E.P.
WoW! i've been an Elvis fan since as long as i can remember, and i've heard him sing variations of all of those songs before, but i have to say, i've never heard him do I Got a Woman the way he did it here, and i really wish he had recorded it this way! thanks so very much for sharing!
This early recording of Elvis was done at Eagles Hall in Houston, TX on March 19, 1955. About 200 people were in attendance. This concert was part of many tours that Elvis was making in Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas while with Sun Records before he singed with Colonel Parker. This is Baby, Lets Play House, Blue Moon of Kentucky, and I Got a Woman. This is available on Elvis Raw: Early Live Recording March 19, 1955.
Hard to picture Elvis not being so immensely popular he became later and still is. 200 people in audience... Wow. Thanks so much for uploading this
