Shooting requires marksmanship which is a skill unto itself. Knifing only requries stealth, another type of skill unto itself. Each needs its own type of capability. A good shooter and a good knifer are equal players in my opinion.

However, as you said, if he is spotted then all it takes is a man who is a marksman and a rifle to put an end to the knifer. I say they are equal

Super slow scope, requires much aim which takes months and months to perfect, maybe even a year or two. Knifing does require skill, but marathon quickscoping (only quickscoping not hardscoping) does take quite a lot of skill, because you have to be precise, know where to hit them, know how to deal with people in close quarters, and so on.

I lolled at the comments about the Ace being 6 or 5 kills.

From what I know, getting an Ace would be to kill all people on enemy team in one life. (6 per team, so 6 kills required...?)

But for all the smart asses that want to be technical, then they just have to think that an Ace was originated from the Card game, thus being 1. So does that mean every time you get a kill, you get an Ace?... No. -.-
