National American Miss is definately not a scam!! Even through you have to pay $50 for every optional competition you start to notice that if the winner gets $250 dollars for winning the optional competition and you only have to pay $50 then it's not about the money at all!! You should definately do Namiss trust me you'll have the time of your life!!

did you guys ever notice that nam says you dont have to be certian size but all the winners are basically skinny and i cant wait im doing this yrs 2010 pagent and i really hope i winn wish me luck

@IHeartParamore13 This is my 1st year too and I have a friend that was in it a few years ago. Just go out there and have fun. I heard it's a weekend you'll NEVER forget. Just walk slow, get comfortable with your personal introduction. Good luck gurly!

NAM in Georgia has over 300 girls in one age group. I feel it is impossible to narrow it down to one girl out of 300. While well run, it becomes more about money than the girls...

I agree. There are 226 teens entered in the Miss Ohio pageant this year. And they refuse to split it. I think that it is pathetic! I may love this pageant and all, but I honestly prefer doing the Miss American Coed pageant system. There are less girls so you don't feel so crowded.

i persoanlly feel the it isn't impossible to pick a queen from 300 girls. just from watching or even looking at formal wear and introduction i can pick out the queen. so why can judges do it. you can really tell the girls who stand out.

and comign from washington we have over 200 girls in jr. teen also and i know it seems like a lot but really when it comes down to it judges can pick out that one girl who just has the extra something.

The girl who won Teen Miss this year screwed up her intro badly and she did not stick out in formalwear. There were a ton of other girls who aced it.

it's not that big of a deal if she messed up if she recovered great and was a strong speaker the judges are gonna look over it. i've messed up on my introduction before and still did great she could have done great in interview, you really don't know. but personally i just think it's kinda rude that you are putting her down.but i'm not trying to start anything i'm just stating my opinion. but i do agree that there are a lot of girls but i'm just sayign that they can choose.

I didn't mean to put her down. It's just that there were alot of other girls that stood out in both eveningwear and intro. Though she could have stood out in interview the other two are still 2/3 of your score. There were alot of outstanding teens there & I just think it's wrong to give the title to just 1 person. They split the JrTeen last year & they had less girls. My point is that they are out for money. It was their choice. I respect them for it, but still think they should have split it.
