Hey man My Dog lived 6 yrs after the Vet told me to put him down He was suffering so I got him a brace and got him on low dose of Morphine and Advil and he was almost pain free.and we had 7 great yrs together.I had The Vet charges money so u know.

I'd like to know how many others it's happened to. Do you have to fear burying your pet alive or getting burned to death if it's cremated?? Do you have to wait a day after they're euthanized to bury them or get them cremated? Are they so cheap at these places that they don't give a little more than they think necessary just to make sure they don't suffer longer? Also, why don't they make sure the animal is anesthetized and unconscious before they do it? How do they really know it's painless?

i have been in the animal care industry both from a home perspective and a professional one, this is not a rare occurrence. it actually happens quite often when the person administering the chemical cocktail does not use enough. the failure is on the part of the person doing the procedure, which can lead to severe painful end of the animals in question. heart arrhythmia , heart attack, organ failure, and so much more. very seldom is the animal unharmed by the process.

Euthanasia is just an overdose of anesthesia medication they use in surgeries. They simply didn't give her enough. She was just basically asleep with the drug and when it wore off, she woke up. Talk about a horrible veterinarian.

It wasn't killing twice. For the dog, it was simply a long time sleeping, which he probably wouldn't mind. Maybe it was a sign that the dog wasn't ready to give up yet? Who knows?
