Hello Carniphage. I noticed your post on Twitter too. We provide options to users, but you do not necessarily have to use every option. Scrivener can either be tailored to exacting users requirements, or be used as an extremely clean and simple text editor. You can strip Scrivener 2.2 down to look and function like our original release if you want to. So, yes, Scrivener has complexity, but only if you want to scratch the surface and delve into the options.

Scrivener should be an elegant tool focussed around the goals of story writing.
I am worried by this video. These "Do this thing if Full-Screen Mode is engaged" settings seem needlessly complex. The interface was complex already.
This kind of cluttered interface is very un-Apple like.
It'd be good to see Scrivener evolving by retaining power and sophistication but becoming less complex to use.
