No one's commented on this song in 3 months. Well it's still one of my all-time favorite songs. I remember a pair of DJ's on little old KDTA radio out of Delta, Colorado when the James Gang was new. They were trying to get everyone they knew (in that very small market) to listen to the James Gang. Glad I did.
what a tender, sweet little song - the strings and its overall harmonic tonality make it sound almost like an Indian raga - Joe has composed some lovely music, and this is a particularly nice piece
I sometimes wonder how Joe could be content with the Eagles after doing all this very original and inspired stuff with the James Gang these songs are so much more creative then the Eagle stuff , my opinion not to put the Eagles down but these songs are just so sweet and new ...still
@TonyJenRock1 I've been listening to and interested in Joe Walsh since the 70's. In my opinion Joe wanted to live his life and heal his soul. The Eagles allowed Joe to ride along while someone else drove the car.

@fireblossom2u Even when with the James Gang, Joe was happy that Jimmy Fox was considered the leader of the band. I think Jim just got a little heavy-handed with that, though, and if I remember rightly, that was why he left.
Ah, yes! Back in the days when players actually played analog instruments and singers actually sang. There was no pitch correction that you didn't do yourself and Joe Walsh was considered a great singer/songwriter/guitar player because he ACTUALLY WAS.
I know the video's just a pic of the album cover but this is one of my all-time favorites! The closing section is wonderful. Joe Walsh rocked out more with The Gang than he did songs like this but it's a great change of pace. Now I'm going to look for Midnight Man-and maybe Dreaming in the Country!

Thanks for posting this beautiful piece of Joe Walsh/James Gang history.
Sure would be nice to hear "Live My LIfe Again," live on You tube.
Thanks, "Again."

This goes into some 'Joni Mitchell' chordal/melody territory.
