I agree. It had to do with the fact that The Bionic Woman was cancelled by one network and then picked up by another. I guess the competing networks wouldn't allow crossovers. I'm glad Steve and Jaime finally got married though in the tv movie Bionic Ever After. It was a shame though that it couldn't have happened sooner. It would have been a great final episode for either The Bionic Woman or The Six Million Dollar Man.

Another way that this show might have been more independent from the Six-Man is through better differentiation between their bionics, other than her ear and his eye. Her injuries could have required two bionic arms instead of just one, and only one bionic leg. That wouldn't allow her to run turbo-fast, but she could still use it to deliver devastating karate kicks. Oh, well. I guess her original writers felt the need for speed.

The Six Million Dollar Man may have been the flagship series, but the Bionic Woman was the better show. The acting and directing were better, the storylines dealt with real people dealing with bizarre circumstances, rather than more conventional hero / villain issues. (Maybe it was better *because* it wasn't the flagship.)
