  • This is fuckin beautiful !

  • Awesomeness!!!

  • Look at the likes and dislikes...1,228 Likes and 36 Dislikes. I think you do it justice. Those 36 aren't haters; they are FANS IN DENIAL!

  • This is amazing

  • This is so kick ass, and beautiful at the same time.

  • This is great. You did such a great job keeping the darkness, flats and sharps in there. Yet adding the rock to it.

  • grats on this pal!

  • @juvemilano11 Thanks :)

  • lol not bad. not bad at all

  • Anyone dissing this couldn't consider themselves a true Beethoven fan. He loved to take inspiration from others then take it to whole new levels. He would have loved what you have done and the evident effort you have put into it.

  • @KermitFrogThe Hope so, wouldn't want to get my butt kicked by Beethoven in the afterlife. Although, it would be pretty cool..

  • @scotalianrocker

    dont worry, only one will be gettin his butt kicked by beethoven in the afterlife would be nice peter for putting him in same epic rap battle video with justin beiber :}

  • nice

  • great job dude. big ups!

  • Awestruck ...

  • This is a perfect combination between beethoven and drums, god bless you

  • Make more!

  • I thought it was great! You are very talented. Don't worry about what others think express yourself in any way that you want.

  • Covering any musical piece is the ultimate form of praise and tribute... If you were to paint over the Mona Lisa you would be dishonoring and destroying the original artwork. If you were to sit alongside trying to paint your own version of it, that would be honorable and it would not deface the original in any way... Nice work...

  • hey i dont know how you are but i have to agree with you i am studing in a musicall school and i had lots of professors and when i firts listened your version i was with my favorite teatcher she told me that classic music is written in a way so any performer can perfom most of the pieces as he likes and music is way of life is part of the people who listening music and really feel it. Anyway its good but i thing you could better :D

  • This is amazing :D very very talented.....play that funky music :P that is the coolest thing i have ever heard :)

  • very nice. i think good old ludwig van would be proud.

  • It has a sort of Muse-ish sound to it. It's similar to Exogenesis: symphony parts 1 2 and 3. I like :)

  • Actually we love rock covers of classical music. It makes us feel open, and free.

  • That's great!! Well done!!

  • ornitier stole this off you i think o.o

  • oh yeah...i've enjoyed it...and...all my words cannot explain all joy to listen it....

cool....great stuf......probably i will doit by my self someday , if life will allow me to live long enaugh...wonderful.....good taste...and composition......yeahhhh

  • You know what would go great with this video? The guitar tab... This is so cool! You should consider putting up a tab with it

  • beautiful though and thanks .... let me know whn you do other videos like this one.

    Antwane

  • this is what i am talking about!!!! brilliant! Magnificent!! Excellently and wonderfully done!!! how did you program your drums to accompany you?

    Antwane

  • @vampireloverman Cheers :) - Instead of having a groove running through the whole song, I thought it'd be cool to have the drums follow the piano's accents. I programmed them in with a V-Drum kit then corrected the many, many mistakes I made. Then scored in fills, changed the beats, added extra hits etc...

  • Amazing cover, I absolutely love this!!!

  • WOW! This is Awsome :)

  • This is Awesome! do a rock cover for the 2nd and 3rd movement too! ROCK ON DUDE! loved how you made Beethoven did Gene Simmon's toungue. lol.

  • You do this songs justice.

  • On the piano, was that the normal song with faster tempo?

Btw ROCK ON DUDE! That sounds awesome! \m/

  • @MrSpartan341 If I remember right, I bumped the tempo up to 60bpm... Thank s for listening :)

  • @scotalianrocker It would me awesome if my middle school jazz band could play this! :)

  • @scotalianrocker Just noticed I forgot to mention... It's not the original piece in the background. I scored in all the midi for the piano as I can't play piano that well.

  • I've always thought Bach looked like an insane rockstar...

  • OMG THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!! :D

  • *WHOOOM* YOU ROCK!

  • one thing to say... i like it and that is it. most of thease covers are sucky.. like most rap songs that ppl make a metal cover to they really suck except for a few.. GREAT JOB keep it up

  • awesome!

  • i feel like this is sped up a little too much, but all in all very cool stuff

  • Well done! I'm a bit of a Metallica fan, and I've to say that you captured a bit of that metal crunch and stuff, unlike those melodic things that we usually see around classical-covers land. But I was expecting a long-sustained-notes solo, some tripplets and stuff like that, haha! But congratulations!

  • thats nice, i like rock and sadly classical. but u fulfilled both likes. lol

  • Your video made me laugh and the song is amazing xD

  • I'm sorry...was that Mr. T?

  • @Alex4gators lol Yes. It was indeed!

  • New Video up guys! Check it out on my Channel.

  • Amazing! An idea I want to throw out there for any musician: The ending credits song from Dead Space 2 mixed with Moonlight Sonata. Check out thatsong, then get back to me. ::)

  • This sounds like a Castlevanaia soundtrack.

  • This is pretty good. No doubt this is really good.

  • Hey guys, if you're looking to buy this please read the info for updates.

  • Nice work! Really really nice work! There's nothing more to say... I can't find it on iTunes .(

  • @666DoctorDarkness666 It's been taken off now, iTunes are a bit crap. If you'd like to buy it check the info. :) Cheers!

  • BS!!!!!! I LOVE CLASICAL MUSIC ROCK COVERS! This is great!

  • I like this. The composers of this fusion piece say they have kept the feel of the original "Moonlight Sonata" but I can hear it at a much faster tempo. Beethoven's original track is slower with a different kind of feel, wouldn't you say so?

But this is nice experimental work. Video can improve though to give viewers a visual representation of classical and contemporary rock fusion.

    Regards.

  • @ritubahar The composers said they tried to keep the original feel, not that they have managed to keep it.

Now then (and this is no longer to ritubahar) I believe this piece gives the song a nice twist, it's true it doesn't have quite the same feel as the original Moonlight Sonata, but I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that you've still managed to do the song justice. It's not easy to cover a song like Moonlight Sonata, especially a rock cover. You have my Kudos.

  • la sto facendo anch'io una versione simile ... piu'alla MUSE .... bella tostata questa base!!!!

  • This is what classical music would have sounded like if they had electric guitars when these pieces were composed.

  • You know, my uncle keeps telling me that Beethoven was a rocker. Now I can really prove it!

  • Will be downloading this... And using it for my Ballet exam! Fuck you steriotypes, ballet and metal go well!

  • like

  • Does anyone else think that Beethoven looks like Eddie Van Halen?

  • @WoWintosh its the other way around XD

  • c'mon weres the mp3 link?

  • PERFECT

  • well,i love classical music and i play piano for like 13 years now,but i love rock and metal too,and dude this is fuckin' awesome! \m/

  • Beethoven would totally love this!!! Nice work Dude.

  • Wow. Actually pretty good. I love that it has the piano in it still. The worst thing rock covers do is put a crunchy guitar where the piano was.

  • Very cool, great "collaboration"...it sure fit right in the mix for the extreme full Moon tonight!

  • Am I the only one that thought this was funny?

  • I think the only reason why people dislike rock versions is because others fail at recreating the feel, but you succeed at it very well +1

  • I love it :)

  • you sir, are a good artist. congratulations from someone who goes and likes alot the classical music

  • the best metal version of this song i've ever seen on youtube. incredible!

  • amazing. I bought it :D

  • TOP!!!

  • I LOVE THIS !!!!! THAT'S REMIND ME SOME LIFE

  • very nice! :)

  • u got any tabs for guitar?

  • @romanticguitarp

Nope, it's real easy though... Just power chords, get those ears working :o)

  • 27 people prefer sunlight.

  • @Thushy101

824 prefer to sit in the dark? Nothing wrong with that.

  • @scotalianrocker =D yes sir, sitting in the dark really makes you get in touch with your other senses =)

  • @scotalianrocker the other 824 prefer moonlight. That's what he meant.

  • @Freeful33 Doh! :\

  • @Thushy101 naaaaah il go with moonlight

  • @axonndude29 =D me too.

  • @Thushy101 Moonlight is sunlight reflected from the surface of moon.

  • @Supersomonerandom errr k.

  • Not many people can pull this off! Nice work

  • I love classical music....but this cover is very very beautiful :D

  • Amazing I love this classic music mixed mixed with metal. The beauty of classic and amazing guitar gives me goosebumps. I love it. Good playing.

  • kinda sounds a bit like metallica just the intro

  • i want moonlight sonata mvt 3 METAL COVER !!

  • If more people cover classical songs like this, it might inspire people who never listen to classical music to listen to the originals.

  • u kidding man? the connections between metal and classical are so there. people who don't look for them are the ones who dont like metal covers of classical music. great cover man.

  • 27 people are old and snobby and need to get over change :)

  • Fantasic rendition of one of my favorite classical pieces

  • New Video UP ! If you're a fan of Quake then you should like it. Thought I'd write my own score to a video I've put together.

  • a Queen song or a Muse interlude...

  • @spiderock1 what...your kidding right

  • Hee~ Just bought it on Itunes, keep up the good work!

  • cool rendition of moonlight sonata, loved it!!!!!!!!!!

  • This was great. As for people not liking it, music is for playing, not for perfection. There is no perfect in music so just have fun with it. No song is perfect. There are great songs and depending on your tastes it can be different but I love it when people take songs and do them in a different style. It just means that the composers music is still considered great.

  • Sounds a bit Like Nymphetamin!! love it thought!

  • Truely amazing. Do the symphony number 5. That would be utterly epic.

  • That's just great !!!!!!

  • AMAZING. :)

  • This just motivated me to start playing piano and guitar again!! LOVE THIS

  • @flyboy9961v

    That made me smile :o)

  • Love it bro Orig and your cover both inspiring thankyou for the effort and your time omg learning it now ony my gat :) chur big ups from NZ

  • sounded like a pink floyde riff at 30 secs ... loved that totally made my day!

  • AAAHHHH!!!!!!! that so awsome!!!

  • Check out A New Moonlight by André Matos, he added voice and lyrics to it and made a really intersting arrangement with guitars.

  • to tel ya all the truth i am not a big fan of bethoven my self but his music seems to adapt very well to this kind of improvs. so cudos to the improvisers

  • is this on youtube with better quality? the quality here is a bit dodgy, but the remix of the song is great.

  • @namdrut

I uploaded it in HQ but for some reason youtube seems to squash the audio quality into a mono mush... If you want to hear it in better quality check out my soundclick page.

  • LOVE.

  • badass

  • Thanks to everyone who baught this off iTunes :) I see there's ALOT of naughty torrents floating about. Shame on you! :o)

  • @cowboyjosh5448 Plus his music was heavy, and he did destroy piano strings with his raging style of playing.

  • thanks

  • YES!! I've discovered how to unblock my self so I can post comments :D !!

  • @scotalianrocker

NICE!! I grew up with a little known band called SKY doing the same thing in the late 70's/early 80's with classical tracks but not as metal... good to see you're doing the same thing, and keeping the respect there. Keep it up!!

  • @scotalianrocker ... you...how...what?

  • Check out Marcus Miller's cover for example. He really nailed it. He made it his own with that awesome groove and tasteful , emotional playing. Don't worry about the classicists.. they're stuck in the past. You should look ahead.

  • @ViaOSCard

This is the thing, I didnt "exploit" the guitar I just accompanied the piano. It sounds really cheese when you play this with the guitar leading. Hence why I made the decicion to only use power chords when I made this. People go over the top with the guitar or even more over the top with the grooves. I can't see how that makes it any better. Sounds worse to me!

  • @scotalianrocker That's a matter of taste then! At least you do something with your artistic cravings. Most people don't :)

  • Okay.. I think that you actually did lose the feel of this piece. Simply speeding up a piece and adding drums\power chords (which is what most people do with such pieces) is what makes the term "Rock Cover" a bit repulsing. I think that the general idea of covers is great.

Even when it's applied to classical music. Just.. make it interesting. Dynamically interesting. Exploit the electric guitar! I'm sorry, but power chords become boring at one point or another.

  • Nice tone :) May one ask how you accomplished it?

  • @GrevMivlos

    Amplitube 2

  • @scotalianrocker nice. Have that too! Did you use it with stealthplug? I get quite noisy sound :(

  • @GrevMivlos

Nope I pluged it straught into my soundcard which was an Mbox 2. Blimy, not used that thing in ages. I was 19 when I did this tune! As if it was 5 years ago!!! :O

  • @scotalianrocker

    and the drums?

  • @Sn4keEater

I used EZ Drummer for the kit sound BUT I did the druming and with the help of E-Drums and a quontiser at the time.

  • Beethoven is head-banging in his grave right now.

  • I bought this off iTunes. <3

  • Beethoven must be headbanging to this tune right now :)

  • @TaoTeChing00 im sure he would be if he wasnt dead. or deaf

  • Lol @ Kermit the Frog, randomly, there ;D

  • Awesome!

  • Pretty good dude!

I recommend you listen to BEETHOVEN'S LAST NIGHT by TSO~!

  • I though of doing something similar ! Really good "remake" ! :o)

  • the regular piano version yeah

  • wow what would happened, beethoven playing electric guitar, just think about the magnificent riffs we could have enjoyed, this is awesome,i love the classical songs transformed to rock!!!!

  • does anyone like this song just because of resident evil or is it just me

  • @cherrypieman1

    this wasnt in resident evil

  • @FischKopfD this song appears in resident evil in the mansion incident

  • @cherrypieman1

Yes haha. When Jill plays the original piano version.

  • WHOA!!! WHEN I HEARD THIS I REMEMBER FREDDIE MERCURY!!! THE VOCALIST OF THE BAND QUEEEN!!! XD

  • Yeah Freddy Mercury should sing on this! Too bad he is dead. I want him to come back *cries*

  • i keep expecting Freddy Mercury to come belting in with an awesome vocal :)) this awesome well done \m/

  • HOOOOOOOOOOLLYYY! This is awesome!!!!

  • Ludwig Van Osbourne? :p

Fantastic version, excellent marriage of classical and metal.

  • @silenig LOL

  • this is exactly what i was looking for..Great job!

  • Thank you!!! As far as I'm concerned you captured, then amplified the mood. Ludwig would have done the same if he were here today. Awesome~!!!!!!!

  • Marvelous.

I will be buying this song shortly.

  • Sorry if missed them, but are there any guitar tabs of this version? Appreciated

And this totally rocks dude, it really suits the feeling that the original song gives you.

  • bétóven sokkot kapna :D

  • If people don't appreciate your rock cover ignore them, I think this was well put together, excellent timing, effects, and did an excellent job paying respect to composer and song.

  • best version !

  • C'est de la daube : la mélodie est au piano.

  • The IDEA was great... but some feel was lost (the drums need some "swing" on that 3/4 beat)... just my opinion :)

  • I love this rock version of yours!

  • Very nice.

  • beautifull!!!! i love a lot rock covers of classical music...especially classical music that i like...
