  • If anything Glee makes every song better but props to the original masters

  • @heartSLB

    Glee makes every song better?

More like Glee turns every song into shit.

  • @heartSLB Burn in hell, Glee RUINED Rocky Horror Show. They put NO emotion into their singing and just tried to sing well. I got bored because I wanted there to be emotion and pzazz but there was nothing. Glee can't do anything but sing, I'm sorry but they just can't. The best of them all was whoever played Riff Raff.

  • I pity the upcoming youth that will know not of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

  • This is my all-time favourite version of the Time Warp. The movie version is classic, and the Roxy version flat-out rocks (but no version without Ritz can be my fave), but this one... it just has such a relaxed, loosey goosey rock'n'roll rhythm, it's groovy and cool. I think this is the sexiest version.

  • I picked up an original vinyl of this from a charity sale when I was 6 because I loved the cover. Now one of my favs :)

  • saw the newer play a week ago. my hands down favorite music from any movie is this soundtrack. im a 14 year old boy and all my friends hate on me for liking this, they dont realize that its my most recent... obsession

  • @ktim97 They must be dumb ;D This stuff is some of the best

  • @ktim97 Dude, you fucking rock. I never met a 14 year old boy who loves not only Rocky but this soundtrack.

  • @MmeLEnfer lol thanks xD

  • @ktim97 You're welcome. This is the best of the best.

  • I saw TRHS in London in 78 and 79 (at the King's Road and Comedy theatres, respectively), and the touring company in 80 in San Diego. I picked up the 73 cast recording after the show in 78, and listened to that for 20 years before finally seeing the film, so to me, the 73 recording is the definitive one (and seems to have more life to it). Recently, I've picked up several other cast recordings, and my overall reaction is: I LOVE ROCKY HORROR!!!-)

  • Listening to the original songs makes me almost hate the movie.

  • awesome!!!

  • Remember Glam/Glitter rock,really cool.

  • I love how people are comparing this with the movie and talking about which one has better singers.... when its the same people singing in both... hahaha

  • @lilpokey731, only half the cast is the same between the film and the original London production.

  • Ehrrrr... they seem so drunk :D better the film version

  • Ummmmmmm wat wrong with there voice it's terrible !

  • @icecream5001 that's rockn roll and I love it, awesome!

  • There's bother member of the original cast who didn't make the film: Dennis Cowan who's on bass in this clip. He died before the film was made sadly. He is on the original album tho

  • I must ask y u chose that pic

  • Great song either way stage or movie version

  • Richard O'Brien and Pat Quinn sound sooo different, wow!

  • voyurrrrristic

  • It cracks me up the differences in this and the movie. Ritz and Pat used completely different voices in the film, but Nelly sounds exactly the same... XD

  • I just watched the movie for the first time and shit susan surandon was hot 36 years ago.

  • @yazid3848 Sorry she's still hot!

  • @yazid3848 lol right? too bad she refuses to acknowlege she ever did this film

  • @TLW016 >> She's finally coming around to admitting she did the movie. She even commented on the anniversary stuff and sent love to the LV live cast.

  • kool

  • I love Pat! Her voice is fantastic! <3

  • movie one is much better..

  • woah woah woah woah woah....woah....columbia sounds like the movie columbia.....she didi the movie too? O.O

  • @ChuWanggAmes Yes It Was All The Same Cast Apart From Susan Sarandon(Janet), Barry Bostwick(Brad) And Jonathon Adams(Dr Scott) Was The Narrator For The Stage Show And I Dont Think Peter Hinwood(Rocky) Was In The Original Stage Show ;) So Magenta, Riff Raff, Columbia And Frank Were All The Same ;) xxxxx

  • @MrsBethHudson jonathan was the narrator XD

  • i can see why the movie was more successful

  • @RossEStern The original play was hugely successful.

  • little nell was columbia in this! she great i love her

  • OMG Richard O'Brein!!!!!!

  • I like this and the movie version!

  • Woooaaahhhhhh, yes! =]=]

  • It's just a jump to the left

And then a step to the right

With your hands on your hips

You bring your knees in tight

    But it's the pelvic thrust

    That'll drive you insane

Let's do the Time Warp again

Let's do the Time Warp again

  • The original London cast had Richard O'Brien in it who is the man who created Rocky Horror it was his idea

  • i love how patricia says "before your ristic intentions" and i love little nells accent

  • @KatyKatSwifty I'm pretty sure she said "with voyeuristic intention", lol.

  • @DizzyDior12 yes she did

  • <3 Columbia!!

  • @TheZapzupNZ i know that but... just listen to him when he says it

  • who says just a step to the right?

  • wow !!!

  • this is richard o brian right?

  • @ladygagalove348 yes this is richard brian :)

  • I like the Movie version better :P The voices sound SO much clearer and these voices don't really go with the song.

  • @WhoGivesAFckImEmo its the same people...just younger as hell

  • @keitarojohn Why younger as hell? It's just 2 years apart

  • @keitarojohn no it isnt cause i looked up magenta and columbia and they did a movie in 1973

  • @PAULA4081 This is Richard O' Brien, Little Nell, and Patricia Quinn.

  • Insaaaaaaaneee(L

  • I personally love this version, its so different to the movie. I actually think its easier to dance to and I love the naive charm of it.

I LOVE Magenta's bit in this is awesome. I love how she rolled the r's in voyeurrrristic and her little "AH!" after "with a bit of a mind flip".

  • @SirMalrose agreed

  • @SirMalrose it's orgasmic!

  • not very good I don't think

the rocky horror pic. show one was better

  • a little slow for my liking, but i did like Little Nell's part here better than in the movie

  • Sounds like a high school production...LOL...

  • @paktype More like a football chant I think!

  • @paktype thats y i like it... it sounds....intresting...a retro sound like

  • In the stage production, Sweet Transvestite came BEFORE The Time Warp. Idk why they changed it in the film. Thats why you probably hear Tim's voice.

  • @PaperGangsta51 they said they changed it because they wanted to push frank n furters enterance back

  • @gdracula13 right, because its waaay more dramatic that way. i think its the best entrance ever

  • in my country ( mexico ) this song was translated as " el baile del sapo " - frog`s dance - and this song its a liitle gooffy and its the most popular song so many people only known this one

  • I LOVE the original graininess of the recording - LDTTWA!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • is tim curry singing on this one?i swear someone here sounds like him!

  • The chorus singing "Lets do the time warp again..." sounds like the original (mono) soundtrack from the film. Not the re-recorded echoey stereo version we hear now on DVD and theaters still showing the film with new prints. Nice.

  • Rocky Horror more than ever. for eternity ...

  • Rocky Horror for eternity ....

  • hearing the differances is quite interesting. actually the three main voices are the same as in the movie Richard O'Brian, Pat Quinn and Nell Campbell all three of them did both the original London stage production and the movie. If you know their voices and the songs (and I do) you can distinguish the differances in how the songs wer originally sung and how they changed the way they arrainged the songs in the movie.

  • This is fantastic! I love this. Magenta is great, the tap dancer is just right on! Great. I realise the missing part of the tap dancer added into the usa version. but, this is really great. a must for Rocky Horror people to hear.

  • This song have a little of influence of Punk, i think.

  • It's just a jump to left!!!

  • I like this Riff Raff's voice better. :)

  • @Ashwiipoobear you DO realise it's the same guy? richard o'brien. one hell of a guy

  • @K155fan

Yeah, but he still sounds different. I like this one better.

  • @Ashwiipoobear yeah, it's more suited for the stage show. but for the films setting being a bit more darker, the other i reckon is more suited

  • @K155fan oh hell yah

  • @Ashwiipoobear riff's the fuckin best!

  • i like the grainy rough version better its like your there

  • It's nice to hear these and seeing what they added for the film version.

  • i love this version.

  • the criminologist sounds like elvis presley lmao

  • This version is too slow for my liking. I guess I'm just used to the movie version.

  • In my opinion, the version in the movie much better XD

but, cool, I didn't know that there is recording of this!

  • @aviahadhad this is the original from the stage show!

  • @JTheTeach I know!!! XD

I didn't know that there is recording of this!!!!!! I'm glad that there is :] soooo cool!!!

  • what is riff raff wearing on his head? is it a bandana?

  • @DarthRevan1051 a surgeons cap perhaps as they would re-animate rocky shortly afterwards? I think at a guess.

  • is that really her in the thong?... lol man She has a lumpy butt, she was so hot, too!

  • @spongebobslushpants1 ooooooooooh yeah u know it makes sence

  • wooooow check out pat quinn sporting a thong

  • I like the movie version much better, but both are AWESOME!

  • I like the way you can hear the guitar changes, but they are all so off-key in their vocals! Except Columbia.

  • LET"S DO THE TIME ARP AGAIN!

  • Sounds a lot like 60's rock n' roll.

  • @MizVanity well this is from the begining of the 70s so yeah alot is from the 60s

  • @MizVanity

    bollox

  • I can't believe this song was never a single,it would have a smash.

  • Hey, i really like this version! great!

  • Rocky horror <3

But this is quite ace :)

  • It sounds very Velvet Underground.

  • Better quality of this is on my videos!!

  • @rennocallen send this:)

  • I listened to this record when it was new, before the movie had been released - and well before it became a cult hit. And I thought this song was annoying and stupid.

A few years later I saw the movie, and then I liked the song a lot. The movie soundtrack version, that is.

  • This version has more rock in it, I like it..., but the movie version is better. But, hey, the two of them rock for me!

  • Comment removed

  • I'm performing it tomorrow ^^

  • its pretty much the same people that were in the movie..i prefer the movie honestly..

  • this movie was so random...

  • "Random" ? is "Random" the new "Random"?

  • good musical

  • oberhammer...bestes Musical ever...nur geil :0)))) MAAAAADNESS.....
