  • i have the vci 100 - which is a inexpensive sound card to get something that 100.00 or under thanks

  • how do you set the buttons in the top left corner to your own preferences

  • @stepcham270

You have to program these buttons in traktor preference. You can modify every buttons of the vastax to do want you want it to do but it's kinda tricky when you never did it!

  • is i possible to cue via usb headphones ?

  • I have the VCI 100 but I cannot hear a different deck from my headphones than what is playing from my speakers to cue correctly. I am using an Mbox 2 by Digidesign. Can you help me out?

  • @bomorpheme did u get it to work?

  • where can i get midi maping for vci100 not SE just vci100 and have fx like this on jog wheel is there on djtechtools

  • the se and the regular one are identical, sans firmware and color scheme.

  • can u send me this .tks for traktor 3

  • Hey, I was wondering how to have both the sound coming from speakers... and sound going to headphones.. let me know, much appreciated

  • you need a soundcard as the vci-100 doesn't have an in built one, it's not a problem really

  • you need 2 separate channels - you either need a sound card in your computer that can support going to master/cue, or you need to purchase something like the audio 2 dj interface which gives you exactly that kind of setup - plus having a separate sound card is better :)

  • @EDBANGER88 did u get it to work?

  • Thanks for the video..can anyone comment on the torq xponent in comparison?

  • can't this work with virtual dj?

  • yeah it can but the fx on virtual dj aren't the best! Just have to remap some buttons or it might already support the vci

  • Hello,

    Great videos man, really helpful.

I have a small question maybe you can help me with, I just bought the vci-100, It works perfectly with the demo version of traktor but when I install the full version I don't have any option to select the vci-100 as a controller, do I have to map everything manually? It will take me forever!!!

    thanks a lot!!

  • even if you have to, you can download presets. just google 4 it

  • hey does the vci work well with serato scratch or no?

  • ean is it possiable to listen to the track before you play it live while mixing like previewing a song before it plays without it airing live?

  • nope, in my other videos I have them attached to multiple effect parameters but this was my first go at the VCI-100 and I was not using any effects at all.

  • I'm a little confused about the whole sound card issue. If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking to get the VCI 100 but am unsure what sound card to get/ if one is even needed. I have a fairly quick desktop PC that has USB, I was just wondering whats the deal with the sound card and what do you suggest?

  • your computer most likely does not have a two channel soundcard, this means you won't be able to monitor and have a master output at the same time. Buying an external soundcard (i have the Numark DJ/IO) will remedy this. The cheapest i've seen is around $150 (for the numark) good luck!

  • @heizmon69 does numark dj/o work with the vestax vci 100

  • @caespana yep, that's the combination i started with

  • when I first started playing digitally 4 years ago my first sound card was the echo indigo dj. it was reliable, easy to use and worked like a charm. Eventually I needed bettter sounding outputs but that was a really good first PCI sound card for the price.

  • hi i am looking to buy the vci just for home use/fun, does the sound card really matter? i have a desktop pc and planning on getting a macbook pro in the near future.

  • for messing around - no. To be sure, you should watch our sound card 101 video at dj tech tools. That will give you a more complete answer.

  • hi im looking at the numark dj io which is about 100 dollars, but there is also this behringer u-control which obviously isnt on the same level but is only 30 dollars. im just looking to be able to use my headphones really and possible a couple of house parties/dances. do you think i need the numark? ur advice is greatly appreciated Ean!

  • Hi,

I was wondering if you could please tell me how to conect the dj io to the vci-100 because the dj io is conncted to computer via usb so then how could you connect to the vci if the usb is alredy used

  • Thats one of my older electronic tracks: Ean Golden "Love Game" (instrumental breaks remix) you can find it on beatport. :-)

  • can you uplaod traktor controller settings? it be hlpefull

  • yes- thats traktor 3.2 for sure. I have another video posted that shows juggling with a VCI-100 modified to have 8 arcade buttons.

check it out on my video page.

  • wow im happy i have my vci 100 but obviously you didn't use traktor 3 le but either the demo of traktor 3 or upgraded it. good job. please post another.
